I can’t say for sure in Hungary and Greece, but this summer in Bulgaria I used different ones, Google maps are suitable for the route, but the arrival time is absolutely crooked, the Yandex navigator is ideal, but if you buy a local SIM card with the Internet, it costs 5 €, if it’s clean GPS is a broken navitel

Garmin. The first trips were without a navigator, with the help of maps in Bulgaria, Turkey ...

Google maps, Yandex maps, MAPS.ME - these are the three navigators that I have enough in my life for traveling around Russia and abroad.

Navitel rules.

Google Maps and Maps.me allow you to download maps to your phone. Perfect option!

Yandex when traveling around Europe is bad manners, especially for a user from Ukraine.
MAPS ME - work great offline throughout Europe, but you need to download maps of countries along the route at home..
If there is online, then google maps.

I am from Ukraine, I use Yandex navigator perfectly

Well done, continue to support the aggressor country.

I somehow have a side for political games, deputies and the president can, but why am I worse

If there are no normal analogues for Yandex navigator, then what can you do
аватар Misterpipe
Navitel works without internet
аватар ivan.krasakov
Navitel yes, but you need to either install a broken version or buy a license)

"There are no normal analogues for the Yandex navigator" - I travel all over Europe, and in Ukraine, Google works fine, from the Carpathians to a remote village in Germany.

Google works, but in Bulgaria it perfectly showed me that I will drive 120 km in an hour and a half, although it’s really 3.5 hours to go there, maybe it’s not so important for someone, but it’s not convenient for me to plan time

What is a Yandex ad? Google works great, everything is clear. We drove through five countries, used both Google maps and a navigator. Arrival time indicated exactly + -15 minutes
аватар ivan.krasakov
Just looked right now, Kolyan. Cat you wrote that you need to use maps.me, but the fact that these are also Russian maps is nothing?))
аватар ivan.krasakov
And it turns out that I’m a scoundrel using Navitel, and you’re white and fluffy using a program from mail.ru ...
аватар kolyan_cat
yes, I see, it means MAPS MI - we cross it out. Already took it down. Fortunately, free excellent navigators on Android are a dime a dozen.

I used the Garmin 3760 navigator. I ran it all over Europe with it. I have had a navigator since 2010. I rode around Paris with it without problems.

I can’t understand Google attacks here - I have excellent time all over Europe and Ukraine, within 10-15 minutes.
But any online navigator, even Google, though others, cannot see if, for example, in the morning they blocked the road you are going to go for repairs - it takes time for this information to appear. Information about traffic jams and repairs is collected from users of the program who are currently passing through this section. Since there are much fewer users of Yandex in Europe than Google, then, accordingly, the accuracy and efficiency of information in Google in Europe is by definition higher.

I travel around Greece almost every year. I started with paper maps, then switched to iGo (does not require the Internet), and about 2 years ago I discovered the offline mode of Google maps - connect to WiFi at the hotel, plot a route, save it on your phone and go. Or you can download offline maps of the desired region in advance and drive with them. But iGo is more convenient.
