I chose based on the budget, and that I would spend most of the time outside the hotel. The excellent Russian-speaking administrator Oksana, and the local administrators are also friendly, they will tell you how to get there and they will give you maps.

Hello! A lot has been written about this hotel, indeed if you go to Spain to travel and therefore spend a minimum of time in hotels, this hotel is just right. Conveniently located, underground passage a stone's throw, Tez-tour in a neighboring hotel, train station 15 minutes walk, sea view. If you are an early bird and fall asleep at 20.00, it is better to choose another hotel, music plays quite loudly until 23.30. For us, the system was a big plus. all inclusive, not because we like to eat and drink, but because in cafe restaurants it takes a lot more time to eat, and there is not enough of it in Spain, we did not regret that we took this particular hotel with the OI system. One minus, there are plenty of Russians, wild Russians came with us, who just ate (excuse my French) and yelled at night (all-inclusive costs). I hope you're lucky and you don't get these.

Black tea is not available not only in the dining room during breakfast, but even in the bar for a fee (I don’t drink coffee and green tea). In the room there is a Stalin-era toilet bowl with a cistern under the ceiling. You pull the chain and the water drains. Then you need to pull it a few more times so that the drain of the barrel is still closed with a cork and the water did not grunt, making it difficult to sleep. The air conditioner does not work. The dead TV remote control is wrapped with electrical tape so that it does not fall apart. A small, old Soviet TV that shows the 1st channel of ORT. Shabby, shabby cabinet f without handle. Cleaning the room consists in making the bed, and for some reason my nightgown was thrown over the blanket of the next bed. The floor in the room is not always cleaned, but it's for the best, because. they rub it with smelly bleach (once I personally caught this moment), while shoes and slippers are scattered on different sides and corners. But you never know where you will find them after returning to the room. There is a nice Russian-speaking girl at the reception, she will explain everything and show you the way. In the hotel itself, the entire pension fund of Europe stops (many even on crutches), which, at dusk, pulls itself up to the bar and, rattling its crutches, dances in a disco. Near the hotel is the beach and the train station to Barcelona. However, it is very far to go to Barcelona itself, about 1.40 min. Barcelona is great, but it takes a lot of time to travel. The beach is wonderful, the sea is warm too. We got lucky with the weather, from 10-14 it was hot. Nearby is the tourist center "Natalie Tours", where you can buy excursions, as well as a Russian-speaking employee (will help, tell you). A very interesting excursion from "Natalie Tours" called "Gala Dali". We visited the castle of the 13th century, which S. Dali presented to his wife and his Theater-Museum in Figueras.

Hotel "Planamar" (Malgrat de Mar) pulls no more than 2 stars. Ancient 3-storey building (the oldest on the coast), lack of reception as such, small dark rooms with pissed mattresses and pillows and the corresponding stench. There is no soundproofing at all.
