Unexpectedly, we had a great rest during the January holidays in Spain. We took advantage of the new offer of the Tez-tour and went to the Catalan Pyrenees, the resort of La Molina. Although the Sierra Nevada is better known for skiing in Spain, and all tourist buses go in transit to Andorra. Only the three of us were met by a guide and taken in a minibus off the beaten path to La Molina, which met us with beautiful weather and no less beautiful views. We were accommodated in the Guitart La Molina Aparthotel, which surprised us with comfort, which we did not even count on. We, two adults and a child of seven years old, lived in a comfortable two-room suite. Living room with kitchen and sofa bed and bedroom with two beds, bathroom with heated floor and a balcony throughout the room. Cleaning every day, spa, in general, nothing to complain about. The hotel is very conveniently located near the slopes with ski lifts. We were with our own equipment, but the rental has everything, including a suit and a helmet. Our guide Ilya, together with the instructor, put her daughter on skis in two days. It should be noted that the snow on the tracks is artificial, the tracks are always in excellent condition, despite the warm sunny weather. Due to the lack of snow, we did not have the opportunity to properly familiarize ourselves with all the pistes in the region, which is 135 km of pistes in the combined ALP 2500 region, which includes the resort of La Molina and Macella. The riders are all Spaniards, they saw several Russians. It’s good to ride and live here, beautiful sunny weather, pine trees all around, clean air and the smell of pine trees. You can easily meet wild animals. But in the evening it is boring, although there are a few cafes and bowling and the aforementioned SPA and pool in the hotel. To see the surroundings, it is better to get a car for the duration of your stay. First of all, we visited Pucerda, the territorial and administrative center of the Serdania Valley, a very nice old town. We got to the feast of the three kings, which made my daughter very happy. We visited various gastronomic establishments, it is difficult to feed a child, but it is possible, especially if the cafe owners are our compatriots, so we cannot but mention the LA Barraca restaurant in Pucherda. Many thanks to the lovely hostess and her husband for delicious dinners and a well-fed child. The second place that made us very happy is located in Libya - this is L'AVET cafe-pizzeria. There is delicious food and deadly delicious pizza, which is baked in the oven, and the oven is right in the hall. Apparently, this attracts tourists from all over the area, the cafe is always crowded. We also visited French Lieu, there is a small thermal complex with outdoor pools. The happiness of the child knew no bounds. I must say that the region is very conveniently located on the border with France and Andorra, which we also visited due to its proximity. To the French Perpignan-1 hour drive, to Barcelona-2 hours with a little, we also hit the road there for a day, but this is a separate issue. In general, we had a great rest, and went for a ride, and put the child on skis. I will mention only one negative moment - they stole my daughter's new skis from storage. But our guide helped us to solve everything - they compensated us with skis from the rental, so we are not offended. Summing up: with or without snow, with or without a car, you will still ride and relax in La Molina well, the resort exceeded our expectations.
