I was satisfied with the price and time of arrival, so I chose this hotel. The food is normal, for 4. The room is clean, normal, as for this hotel. The hotel itself was without grounds, at the top was a rooftop pool. You could walk around the city, the beach was 50 meters away, there was enough space, sunbeds, umbrellas, everything was there, the beach was more or less clean. … More ▾ I was satisfied with the price and time of arrival, so I chose this hotel. 1. We took a ticket according to the "fortune" system (this is when they tell you what hotel you have at the airport upon arrival), so we were not lucky and we were taken to the Regency hotel, but upon arrival we are told that there was an error and we will be taken to another right now the hotel (good luck!! ! we thought and were very mistaken) took us to the African Queen (this hotel and the Regency hotel belong to the same owner and we can safely say that both of them are bad). … More ▾ 1. 2.10-15 minutes to fill out the documents and they give us a room, even things were taken to the room, which was surprising, but it was all due to a hitch with hotels. The room was not entirely clean, but it seemed to be cleaned (it was kind of like they cleaned it was the norm and they cleaned it every day). The girl and I were alone, but we were given a room with two beds that were pushed together (of course there was a gap between them) they blocked our requests to change the room for 3 days, in the end we scored and stayed in it, otherwise, as it turned out we weren't bad at all.
Now the worst thing that happened there (although the food may have been worse) and so, this is the bed linen, which was all in the hair, we took the clean one ourselves at the reception and made it ourselves, too, naturally))
3. Food - well, what can I say, worse than this, I think you will not find anywhere else!! ! honestly, I don’t even want to describe it, it’s just a quiet horror!
4. There was no refrigerator, mini-bar in the room, there were no hammocks on the territory, which are in the description of the hotel. There were no towels either until we took them at the reception, and at first they only gave us one. Then we already begged for 3 pieces.
5. evening leisure, if you are without company and not very sociable, you will have to sit and be sad (the disco in the hotel starts at 9 for children, then for adults, it is dancing animators and a bunch of local guys)
6. for 10 days of rest there were 3 shows before the disco, at least something positive.
(Snake charmer, guys walked on broken glass and lay down on them, belly dance)
7. Since the hotel is cheap, there were always a lot of locals or visitors from neighboring countries in it, and they were quite annoying.
During the 10 days of our stay, 3 phones were stolen there, they didn’t want to draw up a statement to the police, so I don’t know whether they made it to the guys at all or not, but for 3 days they definitely didn’t want to make it.

In general, we were lucky with the company, because there were 16 people like us from Fortuna and all cool and sociable people)
In the evening we played cards, billiards (paid) walked all together.
Of the 16 people, almost everyone felt bad (thanks to the food from the "restaurant", but rather a canteen) and even more than 16 people in the room had hair on the sheets, everyone changed the bed after check-in.
I won’t write about the sea, since this is the 2nd line, it takes about 10 minutes to go to it, and the coast itself is the same along the entire coast.
Oh yes, I wrote above that our room was not bad and here's why: across the road towards the sea, near the hotel there is a club. People with very bad hearing are clearly resting in this club, otherwise I don’t know how to explain why they turn it on so strongly that sometimes it seems that you are not in your room, but in the club you are rocking. Music plays until 6 in the morning and those who hear it, until 6 in the morning, you can say at the disco, and everyone heard it, but in our room it was tolerable and we could easily sleep, unlike our friends, someone changed the room, someone resigned and suffered.
Thank you all for your attention

It is very bad due to the fact that there are no cooks who cook correctly. Many people have stomach ache. Flies, unsanitary conditions. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone. Music plays loudly around the clock day and night, people cannot sleep at night, many have tantrums. There is no telephone in the room, hair dryer, TV does not work. … More ▾ It is very bad due to the fact that there are no cooks who cook correctly. Many people have stomach ache. I rested with my wife in this hotel for the first time, we arrived late, at 11 pm, but we were fed anyway. the check-in went quickly without problems, but when we entered the room, there were no towels there, as well as a refrigerator, the hair dryer was not working, the TV was without an antenna, the air conditioner was never cleaned, clogged so much that it practically did not cool anything, toilet paper too there wasn’t, we went to the reception, they gave us towels without any problems, but otherwise all the rooms are like that, so they didn’t change the number anymore. … More ▾ I rested with my wife in this hotel for the first time, we arrived late, at 11 pm, but we were fed anyway. the check-in went quickly without problems, but when we entered the room, there were no towels there, as well as a refrigerator, the hair dryer was not working, the TV was without an antenna, the air conditioner was never cleaned, clogged so much that it practically did not cool anything, toilet paper too there wasn’t, we went to the reception, they gave us towels without any problems, but otherwise all the rooms are like that, so they didn’t change the number anymore. What irritated at first is the music that yells at night until 4 in the morning. Rooms were cleaned every day, but so-so for a C grade, shampoos and soap were given only once in two weeks, and then I asked. Towels and bed sheets were not changed at all. The territory was cleaned, of course, but so-so. To the sea, in principle, not so far 100 meters to go through the wasteland. The beach is private, there is a non-alcoholic bar open from 10 o'clock, there is Wi-Fi on the beach but it does not always work. As for food, of course we didn’t go hungry, but it was very monotonous, 2 types of meat - fried chicken and lamb or beef in gravy, 4-5 types of salad, 2-3 types of the second - pasta, fried potatoes, rice. Of the fruits, only melon and watermelon. As for alcohol, the beer is good draft keg, even better than their bottled one, the wine is also good, everything else, of course, is disgusting, whiskey is like water. The staff is friendly, the bartenders pour as much as you ask, in short, how you communicate with them is how they treat you. In general, I liked the rest, the excursions are awesome, especially to the Sahara, the Sea is clean, the beach is cleaned and cleaned constantly, there are enough sunbeds, and if they are not, then there are a lot of sun loungers. In general, I will tell you that the hotel is not expensive, of course, so the service is appropriate. Those who are looking for flaws, then of course they will find them, and those who do not pay attention to all these little things will find many positive moments for themselves, so do not pay attention only to bad reviews - they are written by taxi people who are constantly dissatisfied with something , such people and in 5 star hotels will find you a lot of shortcomings.

I think African Queen Hotel 4 * is quite a good hotel for a budget holiday. 1) The hotel is beautiful, very large territory, there is a swimming pool with slides. 2) The sea is 10 minutes walk. 1) The hotel is beautiful, very large territory, there is a swimming pool with slides.
2) The sea is 10 minutes walk. The hotel's own beach is very good, perfectly clean white amazing sand (much cleaner than the hotel, because the workers clean it in the morning and all the time) The sea is clean, beautiful, convenient for families with children, because 8 meters is shallow. There were always enough sun loungers, awnings, cold drinks in the bar for free.
3) The food at the hotel is good, we were always full, there was everything and meat and vegetables and fruits (although in Tunisia the variety of fruits is small). We ate with my grandson, the child even got better. I didn't like the fish, although I love fish very much.
4) I really liked the security of the hotel, the guys carefully monitored safety. When (after lunch at 15.00) they turned on the slides, they closed the gate on the territory, one guard stood at the top of the slides, instructed how to go down, and the second below, made sure that there was no collisions. On the beach, too, the guards always watched the territory, they just sat on the fenced border and watched.
5) I liked that the hotel had a free safe, they kept all the valuables in it and nothing was missing from us.
6) The rooms are large, comfortable, everything worked, but the TV is old and there is only 1 Russian channel. Medium size, nice balcony with table and chairs. The room overlooked the pool and the sea. Cleaned every day, tired of it, because the signs "do not disturb" disappeared somewhere.
7) There is something interesting to see in Tunisia, unfortunately I was with my grandson, but reviews about excursions to the capital, the desert, etc. were enthusiastic. My grandson and I went to a huge wonderful entertainment center in Hammamet-Yasmine. We were there all day, very satisfied. You have to go there by taxi (5-6 local coins) in the morning, because tickets are only for entry and ride, you can watch until you drop.
8) I bought a local SIM card on the bus for $ 15 from a girl from Anex tour (and in the hotel it cost our guide10))), but I think that it was a waste of money. At the reception WIFI and later corresponded with relatives and talked on Wiber, convenient and free of charge, but it is necessary at a time when there are fewer vacationers, sometimes I did not catch the Internet well.
It is easier to exchange money at a hotel, especially since the exchange rate is the same everywhere and you need to take a certificate of exchange so that you can return the unused money, because you can’t take out the local currency.
Now for the cons
1) Tunisia (however, like Russia))) is not the cleanest country, and if it doesn’t infuriate you, then everything is fine, because the garbage on the street leading to the beach didn’t infuriate me.
2) The biggest evil for me and my grandson were night discos, although the hotel seemed to be family-run, but the music rattled at midnight and later we got used to falling asleep to it with the balcony doors closed.
3) Some vacationers said that there was theft in the rooms, but we used the free safe and nothing was missing from us.
4) Keep in mind that the oblug does not know Russian, only English, French and there are many Arabs in the hotel. But they are adequate, friendly people, my grandson even became friends with Arab boys
In general, the memories are good, I got a bunch of medical preparations, but thank God they didn’t get sick with anything and the flight with my grandson was well tolerated (the boy was at sea for the first time and was on an airplane). Back in general, everyone slept easily and flew in the morning.

This hotel, by all indications, was once chic, but now the staff is doing everything to kill it: the sloppy appearance of all employees, they are trying to establish familiar relations all the time, the staff is sorely lacking:
corridors and halls are not washed. Everything falls into disrepair, the frames in the corridors have fallen out, some old rags such as carpets hang on the walls, the external elevator does not function, ventilation does not work in the working elevator, the elevator is not cleaned inside, the hotel lighting does not light at night, the plants are untidy, they grow on their own yourself, there is no employee at the pool, the sun loungers are old, constantly scattered, the tiles are old, collapsing, the round bar on the pool does not work, the dining room is stuffy, the doors do not open, the garden where one could eat is abandoned, the disco hall is closed, the zone the open restaurant does not function, the waiters are sloppily dressed in some kind of red T-shirts, they work like in a factory canteen: they knock on dishes, establish familiar relations with tourists, tables and cutlery are sticky, they allocate 1 paper napkin per person, salt shakers are not on all tables, on wicker there are no pillows in the chairs, it’s dark like in the basement, the food is not visible on the plate, the food is scarce, monotonous, there is a lot of tension with vegetables and fruits: tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage, watermelon, melon, everything is in critical condition in terms of edibility. the indoor pool is in a terrible state, although the pool itself is still standing, the bar is dirty, it constantly stinks of sour beer, flies fly, beer, gas drinks, wine is poured into scanty plastic cups, by the end of the day there is nothing in the bar, ice is a problem unsolvable, everything is served carelessly, with disgruntled faces, animation is teenage amateur performance, as in a pioneer camp, animators are constantly drunk, the evening program starts at 23.00, first children are entertained, but after adults. Never made it to the adult level. Double-glazed windows in the rooms do not keep the sound from the street. All night you can hear music from neighboring discos. Bed linen and towels are old. The toilets of the open restaurant are not cleaned - they either do not know about them or have forgotten. In general, the territory of the hotel resembles an abandoned park of culture and recreation, in which fountains for drinking are still working and there are people in places. The hotel lobby is constantly smoky, everyone is sitting with phones and smoking, you can put your feet on the tables, no one cares about that. Alcohol is not poured on the beach, sun loungers are old, mattresses are paid for - 1 dinar. Walk to the beach for about 7 minutes. There are no supermarkets or decent restaurants near the hotel. The hotel is mostly Russians and Arabs, a few Italians and Germans.
If you do not notice the shortcomings, then you can have a good rest... .

I'll write everything as it is! We flew for the second time for the second year to Tunisia, for the first time I was in three stars, we thought 4 stars were brighter, but but, in the beginning we started to like everything, it seems that the room is tolerable, everything corresponded to three stars at least, then we have problems began with the staff from the bar, where the animation is, not only were they poured ordinary tap water instead of water and sold it in bottles for two dinars, they also went astray to give us ordinary ice, we don’t drink alcohol and I can’t do anything to say that they are treated like pigs, they steal not only at the hotel, we were robbed at their Infida airport, they stole a camera and a little bit of little things, but these things were important to us because these are both photos and videos of a personal nature, and they robbed us after we handed them over to luggage! But don’t blame Roman or Katya, they have nothing to do with it! The owner is to blame, everything is done in coordination with him! There the old one constantly with a cigar in his mouth and gray-haired shorts walked! Rooster rare! CONTENT:
1. Accommodation
2. Dining room
3. Pool
4. Sea / Beach
5. Hotel bar
6. Bar by the sea
7. TOTAL STEALING
8. CONCLUSIONS

1) ACCOMMODATION:
Placed well, quickly, room 212 was given without a "bribe". The room is not the worst option, spacious with a pleasant view of the pool and the sea, a refrigerator for extra. fee...Everything. This is where the good impression ends. True, for three more days the mood was more or less supported by reserves from the dutik : -))

2) DINING ROOM:
Food - there is no assortment at all, the quality is disgusting (it's really not possible to eat), there is absolutely no children's menu (this is infa for parents). Such a long queue for meat, I have not seen in any hotel.
Despite the "all inclusive" for lunch and dinner, they give only one glass of drink (wine, beer, juice or water). When asking the waiter to give two glasses, they make square eyes, and the opportunity to get an additional glass is to give a bribe, or make a scandal. Once they brought me two glasses of wine - half in each)))
The dining room staff is young and more or less normal, but older ones can smile for two days, and on the 3rd, if they don’t give a bribe, they look with anger and try not to approach the table.
More than once I saw how unfinished drinks are drained and re-brought to tourists.
A small example by which we can draw conclusions about the attitude towards tourists: a cook who fries pancakes saw that an electric tee was in a puddle, and decided to move it ...with a spatula for turning pancakes (!! ! ! ), then without blinking an eye reached out for pancakes (!!! ) to my objection - wiped it on a greasy apron (!!! )...
I already laughed ...and only after a repeated remark, slowly, slowly, quietly, quietly wandered for a new spatula. Pancakes while she was swimming - burned : -)

3) POOL:
It seems nothing, though I would like cleaner water. Often, especially in the mornings, "left" local young Arabs (!! ! ! )

4) SEA / BEACH:
300 declared meters from the sea - is nonsense, much more. The path to it lies through a scorched, littered wasteland. There is a choice, either to go on the left side, it stinks of garbage and a dead cat, or on the right, there is a stable and smells of horses. I chose the side of the horses))
The sea is up to 30-40 meters to the buoys, the depth is knee-deep-waist (when rowing, you can get it with your hands) and only near the buoys 2 meters.
Beach and entrance - sand. The sun loungers are mostly broken. Barkers walk along the shore with camels and horses. Those and others, respectively, crap. Local Arabs fish with rods and water guns next to vacationers (!! ! )
A hotel employee walks “controls” the beach, he can easily, if you are gone for more than 10 minutes, throw your things off the sunbed and sell it for 1 dinar to a belated tourist.

5) BAR IN THE HOTEL: from 11 am
Wine red, white, rose - sour is not possible. Beer is badass. Cola, fanta. That's all ...Oh, and they make cocktails based on them. Well, very slow bartenders.

6) BAR BY THE SEA: from 11 am
Only non-alcoholic.

7) TOTAL THEFT:
I don't know only in this hotel or in all hotels in Tunisia - TOTAL STEALING!! ! !
Almost every day, rob 1-2 rooms. They steal everything - money, gadgets, you will laugh - panties and bras. Safes at the reception are not a panacea, and disappear from there.
They steal from the pool (anyone can enter the territory), they do it like, while you are swimming, people with a pareo come up to your sunbeds, put it on a bag and take it away. I scared one of them, he ran away with a cry of “Sorry sir”, out of the territory. I went and said to the reception, but what's the point?
They asked what it looks like, can I find out? So these Arabs all look the same to me.
Personally, in my room, having opened the tourist lock, they pulled out 250 bucks from the bag. They didn’t take everything, just like that, they just “bit” bitten it from above. He wrote a collective complaint addressed to the hotel, they called the police, they took us to the police, they wrote statements there. No, well, of course it’s understandable, “it’s my own fault, ” but I don’t want to go to the beach with a suitcase and fasten it to a palm tree with a chain.
The owner of the hotel, 65 years old, gray-haired "fainting", with a glassy look, said that he could not fire the staff every time, and to the fact that I would not come to this hotel again, he replied - it's a pity, but others will come.

8) CONCLUSIONS PERSONAL AND COLLECTIVE:
Total poher *ism of the entire "management" and attendants. Dirty, stink. And shit on us, we'll leave - others will come.
I read in some review “I don’t understand where the bad reviews come from, as if we were resting in different hotels”, and so I also don’t understand where the positive reviews come from ...are you gentlemen? Sweeter than carrots, what have you not eaten? Have you seen the best? We all communicate with each other and not one, I repeat NOT ONE who even slightly liked such an environment and attitude, and, accordingly, no one would like to return. Lord believe this is not snobbery, love yourself Lord. And to such a message “what did you want for that kind of money? »I will answer ...WHAT ARE THERE? Have I come to my dacha to rest? Money they and Africa money. They have no other income, so love us, we feed you and your children. They were given the sea and nature by God, and they only need to establish the work of "leadership"

This is the first vacation in which I did not take a single photo, and I don’t want to remember this.

The food was good, everything was decent and always fresh. Only local cats entered the canteen and begged all the time. . .
The territory is beautiful, 2 swimming pools, a bar. Near the hotel there are olive trees, palms with decorative dates and palms with bananas.
Not far from the sea, straight for about 5 minutes, on the way there were walking horses, and sometimes camels...
Traders often run along the beach. trying to get something. But it comes out more expensive than what we saw in stores.
Near the old town with narrow labyrinths of streets. Of the attractions - the fortress of Medina, the bazaar.
We went to Carthage very interesting! Guides say that it is the second largest in the world. Around it are full of shops with souvenirs. The child bought the drum without bargaining, and then we found the same drum in the supermarket 10 times cheaper! They told us in the Biblio Globe (travel agency), when we bought vouchers, that the prices should be 10 times lower than the one on the price tag, but we did not believe it. They thought they were telling us stories about how cheap everything is in Tunisia. It turns out the way it is, if you know how to bargain. Prices are calculated for tourists, and Eastern merchants love to bargain, even despise those who do not.
In general, I liked the trip. The sea is warm turquoise, very beautiful. The hotel in principle can be recommended, pleasant, modern.

The beach, although located on the second line, but the walk to the beach was not difficult. The price is less. In the Biblio globe, where we took the tour, we were warned that the hotel is not on the sea, but a 5-minute walk at a brisk pace will be. And so it happened.
