I rested for 1.5 weeks in the place of Daphnila Bay in the hotel of the same name. The hotel is family run, but I went there alone, I wanted to take a break from everything. The first days I slept in the room and went out to the sea in the evening. You can note the variety of local dishes: delicious olives and black olives, perfectly cooked meat, many beef dishes, vegetables, fruits, local wine and my favorite baked eggplant melizanosalata. There are no comments on the cleaning of the room, everything is decent. Over time, I wanted to travel around the island, visit local attractions, buy souvenirs. The hotel guides offered a great variety of activities, and I chose to cruise along the East Coast, towards the North. I wanted to see the nature of the island. What I saw cannot be described in words… beauty… sailing on a boat, I was shocked by the layered shores of yogurt color, hills with olive groves and I saw the highest mountain, it seems to be called Pandakrator. It was a little windy, so the voice from the captain's cabin was lost in the air. When we moored to a wild swimming beach, right on the roof of the cabin, the captain himself prepared dinner for us. I say US!... I mean the friendly team of the captain and tourists of different nationalities. I am a rather reserved person and rarely get along with strangers, but here I exceeded all my expectations. Eating the most delicious bone-in pork and kupaty with homemade wine, everyone shouted “I am mas... ”, the Greek “To your health! ”, This is the first phrase that I learned, it really was fun....I met Vera and Daria, then we already traveled together (Girls, if you are reading this review, thank you very much, I am very glad that I met you). Then I also visited the temple of St. Spyridon, I want to believe in the power of his holy relics. People here are truly imbued with love for faith and shrines. I also liked the evening activities in the hotel amphitheater, for adults and children. I thought my kids would love it here. They were very worried about me there, at home, how can I cope here without knowing any foreign language to the fullest. But there were no problems with this, the hotel has a lot of Russian-speaking staff, as well as all excursions in Russian. I didn’t like, probably, only that the only indoor pool with heated sea water was paid. 15 euros per day per person for the use of the spa. Since in May-early June the water in the sea has not yet warmed up completely, although the sun was so hot.

There is a restaurant on the beach where you can always go for tea or ice cream, during the day you can dine without any frills, without changing clothes and without returning to the hotel. This is convenient, especially given the steep climb.
It’s easy to get to the city on your own by regular bus, the stop is nearby, it’s about half an hour to go.

At the beginning of the holiday, we saw freshly squeezed juice for breakfast, but the next day it was replaced with a mixture with essence (a terrible thing). Apparently, there were more people, and the juice was not enough. But you can put up with all this, but the descent to the sea is something! With a stroller without a husband, I did not dare to go down and up even once. The car goes there, but light and for 4 passengers. The beach is amazing, of course. It was especially wonderful at one time, because this year all the grass burned down. Apparently, the crisis also affected the supply of water to the beach. Water the grass only at the entrance to the hotel. There is nowhere to walk - everywhere there are ups and downs, and not everywhere you can drive in a wheelchair. Saves the hotel animation. The guys entertained both children and adults. At check out, the room was not extended by 2 hours. Here are the privileged clients of Grekotel (they used to be in Crete and received special privileged client cards). What is the privilege - we did not understand. There is only one conclusion: the hotel is not worth the money spent, at least until it is renovated.

At lunch and dinner: soups, salads, meat dishes, vegetables, fruits, sweets, fish (very tasty), it is impossible to list everything. I recommend visiting the Ala Carte restaurant, you need to reserve a table in advance, but you will not regret it. . . The staff is beyond praise, starting with Diana (she speaks excellent Russian) who holds the position of deputy. director and will always help in any situation, will not leave until she personally meets and sees off each guest, thank you very much for her work. I advise you to take a tour of the island, check in to Paliokastritsa, an amazingly beautiful place overlooking the Adriatic Sea. The only dine is offered in a tavern located 500 meters above sea level, a good neat tavern with a gorgeous view. It’s worth a visit, but for the sake of the view, the food there is not tasty, I don’t recommend ordering serious dishes, no one from our group liked anything, but only if wine, coffee and Greek salad (you’ll just regret the money spent on this dinner). If you call a taxi, call Dimitros - he is such a smart girl, he will take you, he will find out everything that is necessary for you, agree on everything. Also, for those with children, I recommend a trip on a boat with a transparent bottom, to the performance of fur seals, you need to get to Calyps Star, this is the old port in Kerker, it’s more convenient by taxi. But all the most interesting was ahead - when they nevertheless prepared a room for us - a bungalow - we went there and almost fell - stone !!! ! - yes, they write about this on the sites, but in my opinion the tour operator is to blame - since I I warned several times that a small child is crawling and we need normal conditions !! ! - I’ll immediately note the tour operator - VKO Travel, TUI - manager Olga - office on Okhotny Ryad! Sorry I got distracted - I'll continue. About the floors, they are completely stone! ! floors! The walls are painted from some kind of stucco, all sorts of creatures crawl, holes even from the pipe from the air conditioner, burlap instead of bed linen! And how do they think my 9 month old baby should be rock crawling for a 15 day trip? And sleep 15 cm from the stone floor! ? But when we came for dinner - we were even more surprised - it makes no sense to even describe!! ! And all this pleasure cost us 3500 euros for two!! ! And with a stroller, to come from the bungalow, we had to spend half an hour, because the ascent included both steps and steep descents, which I simply could not climb alone with the stroller, because my legs slipped from the steepness of the descent and I had to be pushed from behind husband to go up the lift! We were very lucky to have stayed at this hotel. Bungalow with sea view, next to the main building and with swimming pools. The staff is always polite and friendly. It is not far to go to the beach, for lunch you can not come to the restaurant and eat at the beach bar. Very good and informative excursions around Corfu, Big Meteora, etc. (thank you very much to the representative of the Southern Cross company Nadezhda and the guide Irina for the excellent work). Russian-speaking staff are engaged in children, my daughter went to the kids club and was very satisfied.
My wife, me and daughter were delighted with a wonderful stay at this hotel and if possible we will go to this hotel again. The hotel is super! Great beach, under the trees. Clear sea. Very good and varied cuisine, lots of fruits and pastries. Friendly staff. We lived in a building in a room with a sea view. The view is impossible to put down. I don’t advise in a bungalow, it can be damp. Very good location of the hotel, not far from the city.
