After reading stories about the country, reviews of tourists, I chose the city of Paralia Katerinis as my place of rest, as this place met all my requirements 100%. For 7 days, the STRASS 3-star hotel became our haven. We arrived at 1800, settled immediately (room 202). The room was clean, everything worked properly, the bed and towels were the whitest. The bathroom has gel, shampoo, hair balm. The hotel is not big, beautiful, well-groomed, there is no territory. Meals: We only had breakfast. For breakfast, the assortment is not large, but we personally had enough (eggs, cottage cheese, cheese, sausage, sausages, butter, cookies, good coffee, fresh 2 types, milk, honey, jams, fruits) I eat it at home in the morning. Daily cleaning and change of towels. The staff is friendly (do not speak Russian). The hotel is located 150-200 meters from the sea. 3-4 minutes walk to the beach. I am not picky and everything suited me in this hotel, there is only one insignificant minus, a very small shower, if a person is more than an average build, the water will be on the floor. There are no more claims. Personally, I would come back here.
There are many cafes (taverns) around the hotel (to eat with wine about 18-25 euros for two), shops, including 90 fur coats (you should not go to Kastoria, it's cheaper here), in the town there are 3 inexpensive grocery supermarkets where you can buy oil, alcohol not expensive. Take excursions in street agencies: Metiora-25 euros (in the hotel from 60 to 80), Olympus-10 euros (in the hotel 25-35).
The sea is specific, 15-20 meters from the shore and everything is knee-deep, the bottom is sandy. Beauty with the kids.

In the off-season in Paralia, first of all, inexpensive two-star hotels and equipment are filled, which are also very decent. Therefore, in the evenings around the hotel is very calm and quiet. The hotel has a very nice lobby, rooms with large balconies. Everything is quite comfortable. Breakfast is poor: cottage cheese, eggs, jams, muesli, cheese, sausage, drinks, but that was enough for us. Took half board. For dinner, not a buffet, but 3 dishes by the decision of the hotel, but the assortment has never been repeated. Delicious. On my own, I’ll add that it’s better to go to Paralia only with breakfast, as there are restaurants with wonderful cuisine and Russian menus at every step. All Eastern Europe rests in Paralia. On the beach in the evening it becomes dirty, they clean it in the morning, but the sea water is very clean.
