Early booking is definitely our type of vacation. So, in order. We rested in August 2015 at the Ihsian Grand Hotel in Rhodes. Again, each five costs differently, so we expected something like what we saw. I must say right away that the service here is excellent and the food is also at the level. Of course, the Greek cuisine that is prepared in taverns is better, but hotel food is hotel food because it is prepared for the majority of guests, and not for one. The breakfasts are very tasty. Lots of pastries, sweets, natural yoghurts. You can’t buy these from us, and there are all sorts of jams for them, honey. Breakfast is definitely 5+. On the second day after arrival, we had dinner at the a la carte restaurant. We also read on the site that you need to book in advance, so we took care of our place immediately on the day of arrival. Yes, I also want to say that we arrived at 12 noon and thought that we would have to wait for check-in. Luckily, the room was already ready and we checked in right away. Very cool wine is served everywhere. Moreover, the hotel is no worse than in a tavern. I was surprised. Usually hotels serve the cheapest. Unless, of course, you order a bottle yourself. None of the staff speak Russian. But we had a girl - a guide in the hotel, who helped with the translation, if necessary. And so, I think that if you are going abroad, then you need to know at least a couple of words in English. otherwise it will be very difficult, no matter how cool the company you have. Personally, I was impressed by the pools. Beautifully made. There are two of them and they seem to be merged together. It is a pity that nothing was invented for the children, but Greek evenings with dances and music were held 2 times a week. And so, if you want to feel the Greek flavor, then go for a walk in the village - there are 5 minutes on foot or you can go to Rhodes. A taxi costs 10 euros, and a bus ticket is about 2. There will definitely be enough entertainment there. In my opinion, it is quite a decent hotel.

Let me tell you about the hotel itself. from the very beginning, as soon as we arrived, the pool caught my eye. There they are, one might say, two in one with a wooden partition in the middle. It looks very nice, and most importantly, comfortable. Not as slippery as tile and doesn't get too hot from the heat. Nice beach right next to the hotel. Umbrellas and sun loungers are free, and there are no locals on the beach. Only tourists of this hotel. I read a lot that Greeks often come to the beaches on weekends, because they are all municipal and only umbrellas belong to the hotel itself, therefore there are paid sun loungers there. Although, I think that if you have a cocktail in a bar, then everything is not so scary. What can I say about the number. The designer really did his best. We had an all white room. At first I was upset. I thought that I would definitely find some kind of dirt here. But no. Everything is clean, fresh bed linen, towels. They clean up well. We took food "all inclusive". I still don't know if this is good or bad. Year after year is not necessary, as well as hotels are all different. Somewhere we are glad that we eat such yummy every day, but somewhere we regret that we spent so much money on terrible food. In this case, we were very pleased. Constant cooking shows at dinner is something. In general, a lot of themed evenings. The animation is great and unobtrusive. The guys are great. I can tell you a lot more, but I think no one will read it to the end. But we are very pleased.

Neighbors said that 5 * in Turkey is better, but I don’t really believe it, to be honest). The pool here is very cool. It is almost on the sea. That is, first the fables and the beach immediately begins. You can sunbathe here and there. A small drawback of the beach is the stones. But this is not even a disadvantage if you are resting without children. You can put on rubber shoes and swim safely. The beach itself is big. There were always enough beds. Food at the highest level. There is food for every taste. Particularly pleased were the days when the hotel held a Greek evening. Then there was a lot of seafood and other goodies (for 10 rest 1 time was). Yes, there are few children here. This place is just for an older audience. Very comfortably. It takes about 10 minutes to drive to the capital of the island. That is, you can always find entertainment. And there are a lot of tours for sale. We are satisfied. This year friends are going to the same hotel.

So, the morning always started with a cup of coffee on the balcony (by the way, it is furnished). I think romantics will understand me. And even more I was impressed by the presence of a jacuzzi in the room. Of course, you can not spend money on these trifles, but swimming in a jacuzzi and admiring the sea is an unforgettable experience. Wi-Fi catches even on the beach. This did not please me too much, because my husband was constantly on the Internet, even on vacation. So, if you want to spend time without the benefits of civilization, then it’s better not to tell your companions about the presence of the Internet. Along the sea there are palm trees and good sunbeds. So, you lie under a palm tree, watch the surf and enjoy the rest. Towels are provided free of charge and in the quantity you need. The food is good. I agree that the breakfast menu is repeated, but the choice of dishes is large, so you can choose a new option every day. Dinners are varied, food is fresh, deliciously cooked, 4-5 types of meat, 3-4 fish and seafood, various side dishes, a lot of vegetables and fruits, delicious pastries. I liked Greek yogurt, it was often offered with pieces of fruit. I really liked Greek cuisine.
By the way, not far from the hotel there is a large supermarket with quite reasonable prices, tourists and locals often visit it.
Our room was spacious and clean, daily cleaning, but the bed linen was not changed every day, sometimes it was just neatly tucked in. Cosmetics were updated regularly.

People go to Symi to visit the temple of the Architrategos Michael and see the town itself, the colorful houses of which strive up the mountainside, and also to taste the famous Sim shrimp.
Lindos is known for the fact that it was in this city that the holy Apostle Paul moored ashore when he preached in the countries of the Mediterranean. There are many cozy quiet bays where the sea is shallow and the water is always warm. On the mountain is the Acropolis, to the foot of which you can drive up on a donkey (for 5 euros). The views of Lindos are very picturesque.

INNA PAKHOMOVA, in principle, does not understand what her job as a guide is, but she feels great in the field of trade. Sales is, indeed, her talent, she devotes most of her time to this on excursions (a leather goods store, sponges, even a church shop at the temple). At the same time, she constantly talks about something, without giving any really valuable information about Rhodes itself and its sights. She did not respond to our polite remarks about this. We contacted the company through a guide at the hotel, they refunded us the money for the next 2 ordered excursions and apologized to us. For other tourists (in other hotels and from the Pegasus company), the return of money caused difficulties and they received not the entire amount, but only a part. Therefore, I do not recommend INNA PAKHOMOVA as a guide, it's just a waste of your money (the cost of these excursions is 45.50 and 65 euros per person).
This was the only problem during our entire holiday. We really liked the country and the people, we will be happy to return to Greece again.

Now we know for sure that we will not go to Rhodes again. Nature is poorer than in Crete, people are even lazier....Especially there was nowhere to go and there was no particular desire, since the hotel "amazed" us....I won’t write much, I’ll just list the reasons why we don’t come here anymore we'll be back.
1. We arrived on my birthday and were surprised that the hotel did not attract attention in any way. Although other hotels offer guests a fruit basket and wine just as a compliment from the hotel. Here they even refused to change our room. We were disappointed because the room overlooked the road, dust, noise and the inability to sleep with an open balcony, the air conditioner blew directly on the bed and it was not possible to turn it on at night, that's how we slept.....2. The room itself was dark, not cozy, such rooms should not be in hotels at all, even if they are standard. the probability of staying in the rooms of spider bugs. they are raw inside, the dough is not yet fried!! ! The dishes are dirty, unwashed. Fu. 4. The beach. The only good thing is that the main area of the beach is on the grass. But the staff does not use this advantage to the end, because for our 9 days the garbage that was lying in certain places there and remained all our rest, the mattresses are torn and old, the umbrellas are already yes, beach towels do not even want to discuss. 5. I have never seen hotels that lack toilets in the central hall and near the restaurant. Having visited the beaches of the eastern coast (Tsambika beach, Lindos beach, Kallithea and Filaraki beaches), I came to the conclusion that the landscape and the sea 1 in 1 resembles my native Crimea. Honestly. The sea, however, is cleaner and transparent, it is simply faded compared to the Aegean Sea)))). To make such long trips, we rented a Peugeot 107 car for 3 days for 105 euros at the hotel. But the road leading to the nearest civilization runs along the street with 1 side movement, and moving away from the hotel 200-300 meters stinks of carrion, and bones, skulls are lying on the side of the road... Chih? Hard to say. but again. . . is it close to a 5* hotel??? ? Hmm. . The Greeks are snickering!!! !
