We traveled with my wife and two children (4 years 9 months; 2 years 2 months) from 06/16/2012 to 06/23/2012 to the Bluesun Alga hotel located in Tucepi.
I'll start in order. We flew to Croatia with Newstravel, the host of the IBCI. From the airport to go to the hotel for about 2 hours, maybe more, maybe less, it already depends on how many hotels you need to visit on the way.
The hotel is on the first line from the sea. The town of Tucepi itself is small, along the entire coast there is an embankment with shops and cafes. The beach is pebbly, but since the water during our stay in the sea was very cold, we did not swim. This was offset by the fact that the water in the hotel pools is sea. There are several pools near the hotel - an adult max 1.70 m, four children's 0.7 m, 0.6 m, 0.5 m, and a paddling pool and there is still indoors. There were enough sunbeds near the pools in June for everyone. Near the sea, one sunbed costs 30 kunas and the same amount for an umbrella. If you go left or right, you can find cheaper. Pine trees grow along the entire beach, and many lie in their shade.

As for the room, it seemed small to me. According to the voucher, our room was called 2+2, but over the past few years I have not come across such a small number. In principle, if you are not going to spend your vacation in a room, then this is not essential. And we were unlucky with the position of the room. Our balcony overlooked the street, which leads to the embankment, and there is a constant movement. mopeds, it was especially annoying in the evening and at night (this is annoying zzzzzzz), so I always had to sleep with the balcony closed. And besides, the transport serving the hotel calls in from this side. The room was cleaned and towels changed every day.
As for currency exchange, there are a lot of them at the hotel and on the embankment, they work seven days a week. In Tucepi the exchange rate was 7.41 and in other cities 7.48. Given that we bought the euro in Kyiv at 10.16, it turns out that 1 kuna is 1.35 UAH.
We liked the food in the restaurant. Breakfasts, as in any European hotel, are scrambled eggs, omelets, pastries, cereals, milk porridges, sausages, bacon, fried vegetables, salads, croutons, cookies, fruits, etc. Dinner is a real overeating. Whatever side dishes you want, different meats, salads, confectionery, ice cream, fruits (watermelons, melons, pineapples, nectarines, apples, pears). In short, lick your fingers. Drinks for dinner are paid, however, as in all European hotels. Considering that on the day of arrival we did not have time for dinner, on the day of departure we asked to attend dinner, although this was not provided, they went to meet us.
The contingent of vacationers is about 20% Ukrainians and Russians, 60% Germans and British (mostly pensioners) and the remaining 20% are Slovaks, Poles, Scandinavians, etc.
What surprised me was the lack of a classic car rental like in other countries. We got used to the fact that in the resort towns near the rental companies there are standing cars and you can immediately choose a car and leave on it. Everything is different here.
By car, we went to Trogir, I advise you to visit it, a beautiful town. We went to Split, which we did not like at all. It looks like a solid bazaar among the ruins, nothing interesting. And we went to Dubrovnik, it is certainly good, but it was very hot (38 degrees). In the city, I advise you to take the cable car to the top of the mountain, there is a gorgeous view of the whole city (the pictures will be awesome). The cost of lifting and descending is 87 kunas, for a child over 4 years old 40 kunas.

If you eat without children, then the Plitvice Lakes are a must to visit, it's just a very long drive to them and it is advisable to do this by bus.
Outcome. In principle, the hotel is good and I would recommend it to others.
