January is the time when my husband and I traditionally go on vacation just the two of us, every year I look forward to the trip, because we always try to choose the most comfortable resorts with good leisure and quality service. This year the choice fell on Club Med Kani. Leaving winter for summer, on snow-white sand, under palm trees is already magical in itself, and if you still relax in a resort like Kani, then the level of pleasure generally rolls over.

A resort on a separate island, with a huge beach, or rather two beaches on different sides of the island, with a sea of greenery, under which you can always hide from the sun, with many different free sports trainings. In addition to all this, there is also a cool cuisine with a large selection: local specialties, European dishes, Indian cuisine and much more.
The resort has a tour desk where you can buy an excursion, for example, go to Male and get acquainted with the local culture. We really wanted to go there, but, unfortunately, this particular tour is now temporarily unavailable due to the pandemic. But there are many others - a glass-bottomed boat, fishing, jet skis - these are all paid excursions, and you can go to the neighboring resort of Club Med Finolhu, which is located on a small island literally 5 minutes by boat from Kani, for free. We did not refuse such an offer, of course, especially since Finolhu is a very romantic place. Upon arrival, we were met by local GOs and had a tour of the entire resort. It is very similar to Kani, but much quieter, there are no families with small children, a very beautiful pool, the beach is even whiter than on Kani, and most importantly, tourists vacationing on Kani can spend a day on Finola at a very low price. We stayed and did not regret the money spent, sooo romantic, dinner with an ocean view, breakfast in the room, tennis training (there is none on Kani). Everything is really VIP in the full sense of the word.
You can't find fault with the service either on Kani itself or on Finola. Very helpful staff, they will always help, if necessary, cheer, ask if everything is ok. The rooms are also excellent, visually on Finola the interior and furniture are a little newer than on Kani, but both there and there it is very clean, cozy and comfortable, so we were satisfied. We will return with pleasure, in Kani there is the Manta quarter of 5 tridents, with villas on the water and even cooler service in the sense of a wider range of services, we want to stay there next time.

It takes about 30 minutes to sail on a boat to the island, but already at this time there is beauty around and relaxation begins. Check-in at the hotel is also very fast, we filled out a questionnaire for children in advance through a personal account on the site, since they went to the kids club, this saved a lot of time when checking in.
We had connecting rooms standard for five (my husband and I and three children), very beautiful design, plenty of space and cleanliness. The resort itself is also very beautiful and well maintained, there is only one resort on the whole island, the water in the ocean is clean, transparent, the beach is white sand.
As always, there are many free sports activities, the only thing that upset me a little is that there are no tennis courts specifically in Kani, we love tennis and many resorts have it. Here the courts are only at Vinola Villas, you can come and play on your own, without a coach. But there are many other interesting things, snorkeling, for example. The boat leaves for snorkeling 2 times a day, different places for swimming, it’s not like they always take you to the same place. They provide everything you need - masks, fins, snorkels, vests. There is something to see, a lot of interesting things under water, corals, fish.
We were snorkeling three times with my husband 2 times and the third time the eldest son was with us, we didn’t have more time to rest, but we would gladly swim more. There is also sailing (we tried it, thanks to Ali for your patience), trapeze, kayaks, aqua aerobics (I was 4 times, very active), ping-pong, fitness, yoga, a lot of different things. It's all part of the all inclusive. Special thanks to the circus team, the guys are energetic, positive, and they are under the sun all day, but they still patiently explain what and how to do to all tourists.
Sports are also available for children, they visit them together with the club, along with various other creative and entertaining activities. And in the evenings they also participate in the show. I would like so much energy.

The child's leisure time is fully scheduled, he has personal time for games with peers, swimming and creative self-expression, and parents also have a rest in the same territory and are available at any time. For children, no stress, but only courage and unrestrained fun.
There are timid, tender children (my average Anyuta is like that - if I were a kangaroo, she would have sat in my bag before her marriage), who feel bad without their mother, they are left in the club for an hour or two. There are no restrictions and limits on visits. As a mother, I will say that it is very comfortable. By the way, Anyutka gradually got involved and easily withstood it until dinner.
Firstly, all mini-clubs for children from 4 years old at all Club Med resorts are included in the All Inclusive package, you just need to book in advance. That is, parents do not bear any additional expenses.
Secondly, the children are constantly under the supervision of G. O. - gentils organisateurs, which means "caring organizers" in French.
Division by age
Mini-clubs are divided into age categories: 4-5 years old, 6-7 years old, 8-10 years old, 11-17 years old. But this does not mean that children under 4 years old cannot be taken to resorts.
You can go to some resorts even with babies, and to some only with older children, for example, in Kani in the Maldives, at the time of arrival, the child must be at least 2 years old. Only parents will have to look after their baby up to 4 years old.
Professional educators and mentors
In any country, professional educators work with children at Club Med resorts. Upon check-in, we were given bracelet keys, which turned out to be very convenient, because you don’t need to hand them in at the reception or be afraid to lose them. The room we booked was on land, and of course, we later regretted a lot that we didn’t book a house on the water - they look just wonderful, like on a promotional booklet!
But we were quite satisfied with our room - modern, clean, spacious and very comfortable.
Since we are newlyweds, we planned to spend 10 days walking along the beach, but, as you understand, it became a bit boring on the second day) It’s good that everything was taken care of in the hotel for this case - at the reception we were given a whole list of entertainment and activities) Of all the presented at the activity resort, we chose snorkeling, and we were simply amazed. Firstly, we were taken to the open sea, and we snorkeled right there! Incredible feeling! The most beautiful underwater world, we saw a lot of fish and even turtles! In general, we did this almost every day)
After breakfast and snorkeling, we went for lunch, then rest, then dried on the beach or by the pool) Sunsets in the Maldives are beautiful to tears! ))
Then dinner, evening show, disco. Once there was a white-style dinner - tables with white tablecloths were put on the beach, all the guests were in white - very cool!
And in the evenings they hold themed parties with a dress code, each time a new theme, and it was very exciting to collect a costume from what is at hand)
In general, of course, the Maldives is an ideal place for a honeymoon trip - nature, crystal clear water, white sand, sunburn, happy people. It seems to me that even the hotel staff is infinitely happy - they are always smiling and very friendly, ready to help. Only no one speaks Russian, but we solved this problem with the help of Google translator)

Firstly, we were taken to the open sea, and we snorkeled right there! Incredible feeling! The most beautiful underwater world, we saw a lot of fish and even turtles! In general, we did this almost every day)
After breakfast and snorkeling, we went for lunch, then rest, then dried on the beach or by the pool) Sunsets in the Maldives are beautiful to tears! ))
Then dinner, evening show, disco. Once there was a white-style dinner - tables with white tablecloths were put on the beach, all the guests were in white - very cool!
And in the evenings they hold themed parties with a dress code, each time a new theme, and it was very exciting to collect a costume from what is at hand)
In general, of course, the Maldives is an ideal place for a honeymoon trip - nature, crystal clear water, white sand, sunburn, happy people. It seems to me that even the hotel staff is infinitely happy - they are always smiling and very friendly, ready to help. Only no one speaks Russian, but we solved this problem with the help of Google translator)
I hope our whole family life will be as happy and serene as this honeymoon) Now we are planning a trip to the mountains, also to ClubMed, I hope I will post a new review in February)

The tour was bought immediately with the flight in order to get to the place without any problems. The transfer was immediately included in the price, and a representative of the company was waiting for us at the airport, with whom we already got to the resort by sea. I want to make a reservation right away that the flight is long and quite difficult, especially for children. I recommend taking with you on the plane everything that can occupy a small child, so as not to disturb other passengers and not disturb the flight attendants.
So, about the hotel. He is beautiful! Large area, very clean, greenery everywhere, white sand on the beach, and the water is azure-clear!
The eldest son almost jumped out of the boat rather to swim while we sailed from the airport)
We had two rooms booked, both very nice, clean and comfortable, overlooking the garden.
I would like to tell separately about the excellent organization of recreation for children. On the territory of the hotel there are children's clubs where you can leave children for almost the whole day. With them to engage, play, swim, they even have classes on the circus trapeze! Clubs are divided by age, from 4 to 17 years old, and there are interesting activities for everyone. The eldest son resisted at first, but then he met other teenagers, and they enjoyed spending time together, and even arranged some entertainment for themselves in the evenings)
As for the younger ones, they were delighted from the first day! Of course, the nannies in the club come up with so many interesting things, not like these boring parents)))
In general, my husband and I suddenly had a lot of time for ourselves, which has not happened for a million years) Therefore, we also had fun from the heart - we went snorkeling, played badminton and volleyball on the beach, swam in the sea and the pool, just seals in deck chairs , or watched the sunset at the pool bar))) These are really priceless moments, for which I am very grateful to ClubMed!
We had meals three times a day, very varied, tasty, with excellent serving) Lots of fruits, vegetables, a choice of fish and meat, a sea of desserts and something new every day! Even the children were not particularly picky, and when they saw beautiful food, they immediately asked for it for themselves too)
Our 10 days in the Maldives were great! The whole family was able to relax and unwind, spending time in a way that is interesting and fun for everyone)) I really want to return to ClubMed Kani again!

In addition, my son had a 50% discount on accommodation, so we also saved money) We bought the tour with a flight, so as not to bother about anything at all, neither about tickets, nor about transfers.
We booked a family suite, for a very long time I dreamed of living in these magical houses right on the water, and my husband went forward) this is considered a closed five-star zone on the territory of the hotel, and only guests from the age of 8 can live there, that is, the son has grown very successfully by age)
Upon arrival, we were met right at the airport, brought by boat to the island, we drove for about 30 minutes. I advise those who are motion sickness to take a pill for motion sickness in advance. I have a very weak vestibular apparatus, I get sick even in the car, and I was very grateful to my husband, who took care of this in advance.
When we arrived on the island, they helped us very quickly to check into the room, which turned out to be just magical! This is really a house on stilts, on the water, but very cool - it has a furnished terrace, and its own direct access to the sea, and even a butler service is provided. And you could also order breakfast in the room, which is very convenient for those who hardly wake up, like me) In general, not a room, but a dream)))
Separately, I will immediately tell you about the pastime for the child. The hotel has children's clubs for children of different ages, they are united in groups, and they can spend the whole day in this club, doing all sorts of interesting things under the supervision of professional educators. Sports events, creative activities, even cooking lessons are held with children. And of course, where on the islands without water entertainment - my son tried sailing, and paddleboarding, and kayaking. In general, in fact, he spent the whole day in the club, only for lunch / dinner we took him away.
Now about my pastime with my husband. To be honest, when we flew, I thought that I would lie on the beach with a book for the whole vacation, occasionally interrupting for swimming and sleeping. It wasn't here! Firstly, the tour included a bunch of water sports - like for children, kayaking, paddleboarding, and - most importantly! – snorkeling! And I love snorkelling! Therefore, almost every day, my guide and I swam into open water and rejoiced at the beauty of the underwater world)
Well, while you are on the ground, there is also something to do. You can go to fitness, you can work out on the circus trapeze, you can play tennis, volleyball or bumbinton. We didn’t have time to be bored for a minute, and I got the book only a couple of times)
I would also like to mention separately the excellent cuisine. Breakfasts, lunches, dinners - everything was very tasty, with a chic choice and excellent presentation. And we, as residents of a separate zone, had our own bar and lounge, where champagne was served in the evening))) In general, this is a paradise)
