Place de la République is located northeast of the Center Pompidou. She was born at the beginning of the 19th year on the site of the city wall and the castle of the Templars. In the center of the rectangular square is the Statue of the Republic, built in 1880, symbolizing Liberty, Equality and Fraternity. Today Republic Square is one of the main places for political demonstrations.

You may not visit

This place in Paris can not be included in the list of visits, except for show. Apart from the monument, there is absolutely nothing to see. There are a lot of beautiful places in the city to spend time on it. Always full of unconventional rowdy youth drinking or screaming under the monument itself. Dirty.→
