Monument to the hare

Sculpture "The Bunny who escaped the flood", Statue The Hare and the Flood, Rabbit Statue
russia, Saint Petersburg
The statue of the "Hare who escaped the flood" was installed not so long ago - in 2003, on one of the wooden piles Ioannovsky Bridge. This is a sculptural embodiment of the belief that the local hare, fleeing the flood, landed on the boot of Peter I, which caused the name of the neighboring island "Hare". This 58 cm monument is made of an alloy of aluminum, duralumin and selumin. "Bunny" is considered a lucky talisman: if, having made a wish, you manage to throw a coin from the bridge directly onto the pedestal of the statue, then wait for the wish to come true.
