Museum-estate Botik of Peter I

Botik Museum
russia, Pereslavl-Zalessky
The museum-estate Botik of Peter I rises on Mount Gremyach, in the village of Veskovo. The museum was founded in 1803 by Governor I. M. Dolgorukov to store the Fortuna boat, the only ship of the amusing flotilla of Peter the Great that has survived to this day. In 1913 Nicholas II himself visited the museum. To date, the museum has three expositions: Boat "Fortune", Exhibition Hall "Rotonda" and the White Palace, built in 1853.

One of the oldest museums in Russia. Nothing super outstanding, just carefully preserved buildings and things related to Peter the Great and the birth of the Russian Navy on Lake Pleshcheyevo. The most valuable exhibit is the boat "Fortuna", the only surviving ship of Peter's "Amusing" flotilla. The rest of the ships perished in a fire in 1783.
