Visiting the Snow Maiden in Kostroma
In general, I really liked the trip to Kostroma to visit the Snow Maiden. Of course, as an experienced traveler, there were some disadvantages. I don’t know for someone this is not important, but I’ll write my comment. First of all, I would like to thank our guide Denis, he is very good, well-read, knows his business, constantly told everything, organized everything well, worried about every tourist. Hotel Troya-good, friendly service. clean, warm, comfortable family hotel. For me, as a amateur photographer, there is very little walking route. All the sights were practically seen from the window. In the center of Kostroma, every house. each street is an old manor with its own history. I wanted to walk around more, to take pictures of course, to go to the rotunda on the banks of the Volga where they filmed the Cruel Romance. The Ipatiev Monastery struck me with its grandeur. The children liked the Snow Maiden's tower, as a tourist who visited Father Frost in Ustyug last year, the Snow Maiden's tower seemed small and cramped. Didn't really like the location. There is no fairy tale. there is a tower near the hotel where there are a lot of cars. We thought that the tower should be somewhere near the forest, creating the feeling of a fairy tale, but we were a little disappointed. I really liked the second day in the village of Krasnoe on the Volga, a wonderful master class where they made crafts, then took them home as a keepsake and the museum itself, made a lot of purchases in the silver store. We visited the moose farm, which is also a touching sight, but we took pictures with young moose. Basically, we were satisfied with the two-day tour, despite the fact that it was -25 outside the window, the air was dry, nature endowed us with its snowy beauty, enjoyed the trip in all its glory, saw a real winter. I think in the summer to visit this wonderful city with my family.
