The Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Krabi 5 * hotel has a truly unique location, it is located in a nature reserve and is separated from the Ao Nang embankment by a rock, so you can get to it either by boat or along a small path, which the locals call Monkey trail. There is a certain inconvenience in this, since you need to overcome a hundred steps and walk along the path, on which you can meet a dozen monkeys who are not afraid of people and do not hesitate to take something from your bag or bag. But the road takes no more than 15 minutes, and you are already on the embankment, where there are a lot of cafes, shops, massage parlors and tour agencies. The hotel provides a free boat, it brings tourists to the pier, from which you can get to the embankment by tuk tuk. On the waterfront of Ao Nang, you can take a boat and get to the hotel for 100 baht per person from 8 am to 6 pm, later you can also find a boat, but the price will be much higher. This location also gives pluses, this is the presence of an absolutely empty beach, which is used by hotel guests, there are almost no tourists from the city.
The hotel is, as it were, hidden in the rock, so during the day the hotel maintains a comfortable temperature, not hot and not cold, the shadow of the rocks saves you from the heat.
The sea is warm, greenish in color, not always transparent, but very clean, there are small ebbs and flows, the maximum low tide that we observed is about 1.40-1.50 meters, but after an hour and a half it was already possible to swim normally. There were enough sunbeds for everyone, but if you have a large company, you will have to borrow them in advance, beach towels are given out for free, in the amount you want, take at least 10.

The rooms are spacious, clean well, there is a large balcony with two sun loungers, free wi-fi.
Breakfast is a buffet, everything is very tasty. The hotel has 4 restaurants: European, Thai, Japanese and a restaurant-bar on the beach, the cook is good, I liked everything. The prices in the hotel restaurants for one dish differed from the prices in the cafes of Ao Nang by 100-150 baht.
The service is good, everyone smiles, says hello, ready to help and answer all your questions. The hotel is fully consistent with five stars.
