Hello. Perhaps someone will need information from the Centara hotel in Krabi, Thailand. It is a chain hotel, so it seems to me that it makes sense to compare it with chain hotels, but you need to make allowances for the fact that this is Thailand, where the concept of stars is very arbitrary.
1. view from the room: we had ocean view. The sea view was obtained only when you stand on the balcony at a certain angle. there were 2 sun loungers on the balcony, from which the view was of the building in front and palm trees. But at the same time, our room was located quite, let's say, at an average level, but as we later realized, it was possible to ask for it at the very top, then there would be a guaranteed view of the sea, BUT we would have to climb there. About to climb below.
2. hotel territory: the hotel is built into the rock, there is, as it were, the first level, which is surrounded by greenery, there is a conditionally middle one and there is the highest one. We could get to our room (conditionally average room) in two ways: along an asphalt path that winds and along which electric cars drive, or stairs. my husband and I are 30 years old, we are engaged in physical education, at first we walked up the stairs, the first three days our calves hurt : ), at the end of the vacation we allowed ourselves to wait downstairs for the driver and ride in an electric car. If you have problems with your legs or back, then get ready to ride an electric car, which means sometimes you have to wait for the driver or take the number below. Everything else about the territory is excellent, a lot of greenery, few people, a lot of space. Sunbeds - around the pool and along the beach. They have always been free.

3. room: for European 4 stars maximum. Something frankly outdated. Water after a shower for another 5 minutes is very loud, merging, sounds. Once they saw a cockroach, the husband killed him with a slipper, they did not make a tragedy out of this. The prices for the bar are such that I recommend not to use it, about 4 prices.
4. service: everything is fine, drinking water was brought 4 bottles a day, despite how much, no matter how much was drunk : ) the cleaning service got to our room only at 15 o'clock, once and at 15 o'clock no one came, I had to call the reception They came right away and took it away. as for explaining, conducting, showing - everything is very good, I would especially like to mention the administrator Mariella.
5. beach: you can on a sunbed, you can on an inflated mattress (issued), you can on the sand. The beach is being removed. there are few people on it because of the mountain that encloses the hotel from Ao Nang. When we went to swim, we left things as they were on sunbeds, there were guards all around, they were watching strangers (usually 2-4 people who, for the sake of solitude, were not too lazy to climb the mountain).
6. mountain: if you stand facing the hotel, it seems that it is, as it were, surrounded by mountains. the one on the right is irresistible, och beautiful. the one on the left separates the hotel from ao-nang. Ao Nang can be reached in several ways 1) a boat from the hotel (free of charge) will take you to the Napparatara pier, from there by bus (for a fee). we didn’t do it ourselves, but sedentary foreigners preferred this way 2) swim around the mountain, it’s 150 meters, but it depends on why you need to go to ao-nang and whether you need to take something with you 3) on a long-tail boat (for 150 baht per person) sail directly to ao-nang 4) walk up and down the mountain on a makeshift wooden staircase, which everyone calls the monkey trail. there is a peculiarity here: the stairs are very steep (we overcame it in 10 minutes, like an intense workout) and in some places the steps are rotten, in a tipsy state it is better not to go there.
7. food: everything is super, varied, tasty, large assortment. ordering in hotel restaurants is a little expensive (2 prices), if dinner is not included, then it might make sense to dine on Ao Nang.

8. I really liked the fitness room, everything you need - cardio, exercise equipment, fitballs, mats - everything is there. there is also a hall where group classes are held, everything is also fine, by the way, classes were held, even when there was 1 participant.
Conclusion: a hotel for those who seek a sparsely populated holiday and good service.
