Rested in Evpatoria in July 2013 with a young man. I read a lot of positive reviews on the Internet about this city, and indeed about Crimea. In particular, about the magnificent nature of the Crimea. To be honest, we did not see any brilliant nature there, except, of course, the clear sea and crowded beaches. The first impression was that we had arrived in some village. They didn’t see any infrastructure, the roads are broken, drivers drive as they please, there are no traffic lights and crossings in the old city, no one turns on the turn signals. Then, these scaffolding around the columns, they noticed about 5 of them in different parts of the city - was it really impossible to prepare the city for the season?!

To begin with, we arrived at the station and settled in the guest house, we had already booked a room in advance. They met us there quite politely, in general, everything suited us in the accommodation.

When we went for a walk along the embankment, we were shocked by the number of people bathing on the stoves. It’s even funny: is it really difficult for people to walk to a normal sandy beach, but to lie on the slabs and swim, knowing that there is concrete under you?!

I expected that Ukraine is "lard and borscht with donuts. " I have never heard of salo at all and have never seen it anywhere, and when we ordered borscht in some institution, they brought it to us, but it was without meat. In another establishment, borscht was served with meat broth, again without meat. But around baklava, chebureks and other Tatar and oriental cuisine. Some places sell Turkish delight. It is not clear how it all wormed its way into Ukraine...

We decided to go sailing. They put us and 4 other people on an old yacht, life jackets were not given to anyone, they were nowhere to be seen even on the yacht. As soon as we reached the buoy, something broke and we got up, stood until we were already sailed on a normal yacht and transplanted us there. On it we continued to ride. The yacht is beautiful, modern, automated. If not for her, all the impressions would be bad.

From the positive - on the embankment they drew a cartoon for us, a very cheerful artist, a very interesting drawing turned out)

On every corner in Evpatoria there is a tent with an advertisement for the banana republic water park, flyers are handed out, they are taken away and brought back. We also went, we were in anticipation, after all, the largest water park in Crimea! We arrived there and were upset again (Firstly, the prices are crazy! Secondly, there are very few slides. For us, for adults, it’s about 8, if I’m not mistaken. And everyone, of course, is packed. food not to your liking

We lived in the old town, in an area where there were no round-the-clock pharmacies at all. The nearest pharmacy was on the street. International and on Lenina Avenue, which is about 3 km from the house. There were no supermarkets nearby either, but there were a couple of grocery stores and a vegetable stand.

In the evenings, the entire embankment is strewn with walking and drinking people. On the same stoves where they bathe during the day, they drink in the evening and leave mountains of garbage.

There is almost nothing to take pictures in the city. In addition to the mosque, the cathedral and churches, the Karaite Kenasses, the embankment, there is nothing. The first 3 days I didn’t even want to be photographed.

Last year we went to rest in Gelendzhik. Everything there is much more interesting, cleaner, the infrastructure is more developed, everything is for tourists. If the tile on the sidewalk was washed out, it was already restored the very next day! The water park there is much larger and more interesting, the prices are lower, the products are tastier.

I don’t understand what people find in this Evpatoria, maybe they just have nothing to compare with . . I won’t go there anymore.
