With some delay I am posting a story about a February trip to Bukovel.

The company I work for has given my colleagues and me a wonderful three days at this resort. Given the length and intensity of the trip, I think that our route (with adjustments for the benefits of active recreation and budget level) can be used for a family weekend. So I share my description and my impressions, hoping that it will be useful to someone.

So, the beginning. Departure from Kyiv in the evening at 22:22 by train № 007K "Kyiv - Ivano-Frankivsk". We rode in a transformer car, which, depending on the configuration of the shelves, can be used for several classes of passenger transport - from "sitting" second class (six people in a compartment) to JI. We had a new new comfortable coupe configuration.

All the shelves went up and down without any problems, all the drawers opened, all the sockets worked, all the light bulbs shone. Both bio-toilets functioned throughout the trip. Of the minuses - a narrow box for bags under the bottom shelf, linen, although washed and packed in polyethylene, but not the first freshness and stains.

Day one.

The train arrived in Ivano-Frankivsk on schedule at 7:35.

The first item on our daily schedule was breakfast. For this purpose, one of the most popular establishments in the city was chosen - the cafe "Family", which is located in the center, on Independence Street.

Since we were traveling with a large company, we ordered a transfer. But from the station to the cafe is easy to get in other ways: by taxi in 7-10 minutes, by trolleybus №6 or bus №28 in 15-20 minutes, or in the same 20 minutes easy to walk (distance a little more than a kilometer).

Breakfasts at the "Family" are served from 8:30, ie from the opening.

As far as I understand, there are several options for breakfast (photos can be seen on the institution's Facebook page). We had an omelet with spinach sauce, bread, ham, greens. Additionally cheesecakes with sour cream. Drinks include orange juice and tea or coffee of several types to choose from. Croissants with various additions - chocolate, caramel, blueberries - were brought to the hot drinks. Everything is fresh and very tasty! The cost of such a complex breakfast is 250 hryvnias.

After breakfast, an active vacation began, and we went to the largest village in Ukraine - Mykulychi, which covers an area of .13 by 45 kilometers in a picturesque mountainous area. From here began the route to travel to the mountains on SUVs. If you do not ski, then such a trip in winter is probably one of the few opportunities to climb higher and admire the beauty of the Carpathians.

Although, according to the driver who conducted the tour, in winter the number of routes is limited due to deep snow in the mountains, but to see, still, there is something. We were taken through a snow-covered forest to a television tower set up on one of the mountains in Soviet times. It is not very comfortable to drive, especially if there are 4 passengers in the car, but it is interesting. The tower overlooks the Hoverla and Rokita Mountains in clear weather. You can take pictures against the backdrop of the winter Carpathians. The only thing that hinders is a strong cold wind.

At the foot of the tower, the organizers treated us to homemade wine with candy.

Towards the end of the route we were brought for lunch to the area, which locals call "Kopchin". In summer there is camping, people come by car, live in tents and enjoy the beautiful scenery and fresh air.

On the territory of the site there is a wood-fired bath, located in such a way that, leaving it, you can immediately dive into a mountain river.

Lunch was very simple: mushroom soup with vermicelli, baked lard, cow's milk cheese, pickles, banosh, bread, olives, homemade mead, tea, but very tasty. Especially after a walk in the fresh air. All hot dishes were cooked over an open fire, cooked over an open fire. Lunch cost 300 hryvnias per person.

The jeep ride, prickly lunch, took three hours from 11:00 to 14:00. The cost of such a trip is 2.800 hryvnias per car.

After that we went directly to Bukovel. The journey took about 30 minutes.

Settled in the hotel quickly. Radisson Blu is one of the best hotels in Bukovel. I wrote a separate review about it, so I will not repeat.

We spent the evening in a wonderful SPA complex on the ground floor of the hotel.

For dinner on the first day we went to the Mushroom House.

The institution is located in the center of Bukovel. We were invited to stay in the new hall, which is located about 100 meters from the main hall.

In my opinion, it is more cozy and quiet than in the main hall. The windows overlook one of the descents.

There is a wide range of Ukrainian cuisine, alcoholic and soft drinks, including home-made.

I really liked the "Generous Hutsul Feast" - assorted meats, sausages and vegetables cooked on the grill and ice cream.

Service - at the middle level: the waiters do not make mistakes, but do not show much zeal.

I was unpleasantly surprised by the complete lack of water in the toilet.

Prices for food and beverages are higher than average. Dinner with alcohol cost us about 800 hryvnias per person.

According to the combination of "price - quality", I would put the institution 3.5 on a five-point scale.

Day two.

The morning was dedicated to skiing.

It is best to buy a day pass (from 8:30 to 16:30) between 7:30 and 9:00, then it will cost 785 hryvnias instead of the standard price of 1.120.

If you do not have your own ski equipment, you will have to spend a little less than 1000 hryvnia per day (approximate prices may vary slightly in different rental locations): set - skis, poles, helmet of good quality - 430, goggles - 125, jacket - 185, pants - 150.

Please note that the Radisson Blu itself has a large selection of ski equipment, but a very limited range of clothing, which is better to take at another rental point.

If you want to learn to skate and use the services, two hours of training will cost - 1290 hryvnias, and three hours - 1860.

Bukovel has many descents of varying difficulty, so you can always find something that suits your desire and level of training.

Many of our company have already had enough by 14:00.

After lunch at the hotel (by the way, lunch is complex - in each category you can choose from 4-5 dishes, delicious, with large portions, and a dish from any category can be replaced by dessert), we went to one of the most famous places of Bukovel - Complex "Water".

Probably, it is better to visit "Water" in the summer, when access to the lake and the beach is open, but in winter you can find your charms here, especially after active skiing.

At the entrance to the complex is a bathrobe, towel, disposable slippers, electronic key in the form of a bracelet.

Bathrobe and towels - good quality, pleasant to the touch.

Slippers, even after getting wet, retain their shape.

The bracelet can be used to open a large wardrobe in the locker room and a small wardrobe in which the administration recommends storing valuables, as these wardrobes are under video surveillance.

The inconvenience is that the "women's" cabinets are on the ground floor, directly in the pool area, and "men's" - on the second in the lounge area.

And if you are not extreme, ready to leave the phone in your robe pocket on a lounger, before visiting the pool or sauna, you need to go up to the second floor, leave valuables, and then go down again to the first.

When you need a phone after bathing, you will have to go up again.

The bracelet is also used for scanning when shopping in bars.

The final calculation for what you drink or eat is done at the exit, which is convenient.

During our visit, the "Water" was crowded.

There were no free sunbeds in the pool area to lie down or sit on, you had to go up to the second floor to the lounge area.

Now about what Water offers in winter.

On the ground floor - a small pool, in the center of which is a bar. It's nice to sit at the bar on high chairs hidden under water and enjoy the taste of the cocktail.

By the way, all drinks are poured into special dishes that do not break.

Directly from the small pool you can get to the "big" - 20 x 10 meters, which is in the open air.

On the perimeter of this pool there are 4 jacuzzis with a diameter of two meters and another pool - 3 x 3 meters, the water temperature in which - 5 degrees.

Great in a warm pool when it's cold outside. Feelings are interesting and unusual.

In addition, there is a view of the mountains and ski slopes.

Also on the ground floor is a Finnish sauna, a Mediterranean sauna (very similar to Finnish), a Roman steam room and a salt room.

There are showers.

Getting into saunas was very difficult due to the large number of people.

On the second floor there are two lounge areas, a gym, a children's playroom, a bar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and snacks and several tables near the bar, massage rooms, a summer terrace.

Prices in Voda, as in most Bukovel establishments, are higher than average. For example - a few photos.

We had dinner on the evening of the second day in the hut "High Pass", which is a 12-15 minute drive from Bukovel.

An institution with a pleasant Ukrainian interior, based on household items of the XIX - XX centuries.

In the center of the hall is a large oven (barbecue), where barbecue and grilled dishes are prepared.

Live music was played constantly during dinner. I don't know much about musical instruments of this type, in my opinion, it was an accordion.

Of the pros. Very tasty food.

We managed to taste many dishes: pickles (tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage), sausage slices, assorted cheeses, marinated mushrooms, banosh with cracklings, cheese and mushroom sauce, draniki with sour cream, pork skewers and chicken with various sauces.

Everything is cooked with the soul and very cool! Banosh and compote were especially impressive.

Of the cons. Service.

For our company, few tables were moved, it was crowded and caused constant inconvenience, both with the placement of plates on the tables (always had to move something, pour from one plate to another, etc. ), and with personal comfort - Get out of the table it was difficult.

And more music. The musicians tried, played and sang well, but very loudly.

So much so that talking to a neighbor at the table, I had to shout.

A small establishment (tables for 10), located on the fifth floor of the mall.

Most of the tables are located near the panoramic windows, which offer a beautiful view of the Town Hall and the Market Square.

All the tables were occupied on Saturday night.

The waiter served 18 people alone.

At the same time I tried not to write, but to remember, so sometimes I confused the order or brought too much.

I liked the non-alcoholic Mojito cocktail. Very pleasant, refreshing taste.

It seems that desserts are a special pride of the institution. There is a special window for them. They look attractive and the portions are small, so I ordered three at once.

But "Caramel Cream" cakes were not available, so I tried "Cheesecake" and "Legend".

The presentation is very good, although different from the one shown in the window.

For example, in "Legend" there was no physalis to crown the composition.

When asked why the waiter said that this is how it is served.

Why in this case the showcase with samples and remains unknown.

The taste of desserts turned out to be very ordinary, I didn't feel anything special.

It is not very convenient that in "Panorama" there is only one toilet, common for men and women. In my opinion, at full landing it is not enough because sometimes the turn is formed.

Dinner with alcohol cost here, about 500 hryvnia per person.

Since there was still a lot of time before the train, we decided to end the third day of the trip by visiting the Lumiere cinema. It is located just 5 - 7 minutes walk from the "Legends" and was chosen based on the criterion of proximity to the place of dinner. This cinema has several features: 1.

It is not possible to buy tickets online, although there is a corresponding section on the cinema's website. 2. Two halls for film screenings have three cafes with different assortment.

The interior of the cinema is a bit "shabby", a lot of people come not only to watch movies, but also to eat or drink coffee.

There was no heating in the cinema, I had to enjoy the movie in my outerwear.

The rows are close together, there is little legroom, and sitting is not very comfortable.

Sound and projector - medium quality.

There were more negative moments than positive ones, so I can't recommend a visit to the Lumiere cinema.

Immediately after watching the movie, we went to the station.

From Ivano-Frankivsk we went in such transformer cars, which I wrote about at the beginning.

At 9 am the next day the train arrived at Kyiv railway station without delay.

In general, the trip turned out to be interesting and full.

I'm glad this story will help someone plan their vacation
