The transfer from Dubai to Merce CLS took about 6 hours, then the boat took about 30 minutes. to the island, then a bus about 15min. to the hotel. Only about 400 km.
There is only one hotel on the island, the island itself is a nature reserve. The hotel has no animation and loud music. We were the only Russian speakers, the rest were European and local. All excursions around the island are free! Mountain bikes, jeep safaris, glass-bottom kayaks over reefs, kayaks in mangroves and something else : ) The food is great! Dinner for two with wine ~$120. The refrigerator in the room is full, the price is on the refrigerator, so we drank ours from Dyutik! We lived in Beach Villa No. 504, our own little courtyard with a swimming pool, a palm tree, a tame bird and a gloomy lizard on the wall : ) There are a lot of hedgehogs, fish, crabs in the ocean. The water is clean, deep : ) There is enough beach, the island is all the same : ) In general: very quiet, calm, plenty of space.
