Small introduction:
- if you want a quiet, relaxing holiday, you are not in Atlantis, more than 1000 rooms, already says a lot!
- if you love the open sea and there is nothing but the sea on the horizon, you are not in Atlantis either.
I myself try to relax in hotels of at least 5 *, good class (for example, Turkey - Rixos Sungate, Rixos Tekkirova, Egypt - Hyatt Shar El Sheikh, Grand Rotana Sharm El Sheikh). In hotels, I appreciate the infrastructure, design, service, and most importantly, the sea and the beach, if it's sea travel. I have been to many countries, I am demanding and I have something to compare with.
We were going to the UAE for the first time. As soon as I heard the name Atlantis The Palm, I didn’t even compare it with other hotels! I knew that the hotel is new and very interesting!
The hotel is luxurious and impresses with its grandeur from the very location of the hotel (on a man-made bulk island) to marble palace floors, painted ceilings and huge halls!

We arrived at the hotel at about 11 pm, settled very quickly, when I went into the room, I was struck by the size of the room, it was an ordinary room of the category "Atlantis" from the "Deluxe" differed only in the number of floors, but instead of a balcony we had a terrace with 2 sun loungers and a table, a dressing room, a huge bath from which 2 doors opened to the toilet and shower (there was also a bath). The downside of the room was that the windows overlooked the bay and the city, but I wanted to see the open bay. In the booking, we did not indicate that we needed a King size bed and we were given two Queen size beds (the beds do not move like in most hotels, but on one Queen size it is quite possible for two to sleep). Taking advantage of this moment, I asked to change the room and change the view. The next day I was given a choice of two rooms! I chose a room with a view only of the open bay, without a noisy disco, city lights, pools, etc. We lived on the 7th floor and every night if you open the doors to the street from the palms and trees planted for landscaping the territory, "the singing of birds" was heard, but to be honest, it was one continuous bird market, I had never heard anything like this before, the birds flooded and shouted each other, and it was not at dawn, but all night, every : )))) I had fun!
Even in the room, in addition to the usual doors to the bath, there were "sliding gates" directly from the bedroom to the bath, when I was bored being in the bathroom alone, I opened these doors and it turned out one continuous space.
The interior of the room is modest. but everywhere there is a marine theme, as well as throughout the hotel.
The room has everything you need: an iron with an ironing board, all hygiene products, slippers and bathrobes, several Russian channels and, in addition to the touch minibar (which counts even if you took a look), a small refrigerator compartment. Cups, tea, coffee, kettle, plates, glasses, glasses are also available.
I advise you to take breakfast and dinner instead of dinner on any day, you can go to lunch, go to the city to Dubaiimola and back for about $ 30 by municipal taxi (taxi is all Toyota Camry), so dinner at the hotel will be cheaper. The hotel has many restaurants. You can have breakfast and dinner at no extra charge in two restaurants, but we had enough variety of food even in these two. Dinner paid for drinks! The food is varied, there was no black caviar, but there was a lot of fresh seafood and even oysters! A glass of the cheapest wine (Chilean, white) 29 dirhams is about $8. Water in the room is free, beer is about $ 10, we bought alcohol and beer in Dutifree, upon arrival at Dubai Airport.

The beach strip is wide and long, if you are not satisfied with the number of people, you can take an electric car that drives from the hotel to the water park and after driving through the green area for about 2 minutes, you will find yourself on a deserted beach with the same sun loungers, the bay is closed and resembles a quiet river, without waves, but salty and with a current, across the bay, in a haze and far enough away, you can see the other coast with the outlines of private villas, and on the horizon, like a ghost, the silhouette of the Parus hotel is visible. The water in the bay is still cool in May, but it is colder in the pool, we swam in the bay, sometimes we cooled in the pool, there are a lot of people around the pool, like "Tusovka" (in addition to the water park, the hotel has two large pools).
The water park is free. The water park has the most interesting slides (what is Sharkatak worth when you get into a glass pipe and an aquarium with sharks, for the most daring Zigurat, and for the lazy the lifts to the slides and the most unique slide - when the water flows up, not down) and of course " rivers" with waves, currents and waterfalls, there are mini slides for small children up to 120 cm tall. But with children you can also sit on a double circle and swim along the "rivers" with currents.
Be sure to find the Lastchambers Museum in the hotel, it is located behind the alley of boutiques. Admission is free, the museum is a lost underwater world, with many inhabitants in aquariums (it will be especially interesting for children).
And from the hotel on the bridge, across the entire island of Palma goes "Monotrain" ride, it takes 25 minutes round trip and costs 25 dirhams per person.
I speak English fluently, but at the hotel reception you can find Russian-speaking girls, I asked them all the questions I was interested in about Dubai and they tried to answer them.
The hotel met all my expectations! We were satisfied! If I were asked if I would return to Atlantis again, I would answer "YES and YES again", only after visiting some of the lost islands of the Indian Ocean. Dubai is like Turkey and Egypt suitable for an annual vacation : )
