A lot came in handy. But about our trip, I will write in detail, referring to the reviews previously written and to the comments and suggestions described below.
And further. A year earlier, with the same team as this time, we rested at the Jumeira Baech Hotel. Therefore, in the future there will be a comparison with the previous vacation and with what we got in Atlantis. I hope it will be fair and adequate - different times, different hotels ...but the same people.


So. Our company is a family of relatives, husband and wife. We are a wife, a son of 10 years old, and me. We are all in our 40s. Arrival July 26.2010 Morning. At the reception, the queue is Monday. Leaving a lot. We were asked to wait until 14:00, because the rooms were not prepared. But there is a room on the Ground floor where you can check in your luggage, change clothes in an individual booth, take a shower, go to the toilet...of course, everything is free. We only used the first one.
Since the hotel, previously described by eyewitnesses, turned out to be really huge. And we went for a walk along it and around to get our bearings)))…. After an hour's walk, and having worked up an appetite, we went down to the platform with the central pool (Royal Pool). The bar ordered a simple meal: burgers, water, french fries. The price was significant for 5 people, approx. 200AED. At lunch, relatives settled, we were asked to wait another 20 minutes. Luggage brought to one room. After 1 hour, I decided to "ask" for the room key. Issued. Just forgot to warn that the room is ready.
Now to compare with Jumeira. In that hotel, upon arrival, everyone was given a mobile phone, told where to change clothes or rest before the room was ready, and take a walk ...after 3 hours, they just called the mobile (issued earlier) and told to go to the reception for the keys. No fuss or questions.

Atlantis is truly a city. Not to say that in another city - Dubai, but huge.
And you can spend the first 3-4 days in it - without getting out. There is everything for every taste and budget. Entertainment for the most desperate loafers and active tourists. Water park (Aquaventure park), two boats on the beach with an offer for fishing and diving, two swimming pools, 4 more swimming pools in Aquaventure park, a basketball court, a well-equipped gym, tennis courts ...etc. But if the first ones are free, then you will have to pay for the court. I will return to the hotel.

After checking into the room, the adventures at the reception continued all the next day! Then they didn’t clean the balcony for us, they just didn’t sweep it for those who had left before us. There was no water in the room.

Continuing to arrival. At the request of 5000AED, for a deposit, we simply gave 1000AED and promised that we would pay in cash, and that we would not take anything from the bar to “see”))) ...the next day, I read on the TV screen SERVICE GUEST - BILL – that I was using the Internet on the day of my arrival!!!???...
of course, I again went down to the reception desk to clarify the issue, and having clarified it, I left “returning the balance to the original one” ...the next day, the story with the balance repeated itself, but not with the Internet, but with beer taken from the refrigerator ??? ? ...again reception, again dismantling ...somehow, well, not very nice (((...
The safe in the room doesn't work… again at the reception… “wait 30 minutes. The master will come. But you must be present. " . went for a walk… came back after 20 minutes, waiting… no and no… the next day: “The safe wasn’t fixed! "...answer: "You were not in the room" ...ok ...I kept money and documents with relatives in the next room ....After 4 days, passing for breakfast, he again asked “in passing” - “What? Will the safe be fixed? "...."Yes, now we will send the master! » Repaired by replacing the entire safe)))) ……. . little things ...but they already get it (((
Now to compare with Jumeira. Everything is simple - I took it, I didn’t take something in the refrigerator, they will look at it on departure ....
And so, we then asked to release "it completely, at the entrance, so that there would be no temptation ...As for the deposit, it was simple and clear there - there is no VISA card, there are only cash dollars. Everything! $500 deposit for everyone! On departure - returned in derhams.


After 2 days of distraction from rest to wandering around the reception (there are eternal queues), I began to react to any problem easier. Here is the problem - let's say there is no water in the room, I press the “Guest Service” button on the phone ...then they answer me ...welcome/// I can help you ...I ask myself without difficulty: “Please, give me manager who talk by Russian language? "...after 10 seconds, I hear a Russian question in the receiver - What happened? ...I state the problem, they answer: " Ok! It will be in 10-15 minutes! "...and so for two or three days ....After a shower, a wet bathrobe - on the floor ...after all, they should bring a fresh one! ...the next day, there is no bathrobe !! ! ...everything is cleaned, towels are replaced, bed linen is changed, but there are no bathrobes ....Another call! Again Please, give me who speak by Russian… again the question is - Where are the bathrobes? , again the answer: “In 10-15 minutes! "...
Bed linen, spilled coffee, on the next. day, stains in the same place where they remained after the evening spent earlier ...they just made the bed without changing ..... again a call! ...again an answer ..."We will replace"! ! ! Ooooh!!!...I'm not some kind of courtesan, to give myself for the money paid to those who ask about my talents, but since it was paid by me, then forgive me, "surrender" for what I took! ! ! )))) little things, but I'm here to forget about them ...about everything that annoys, and from which I ran away to the other end of Asia ...

No. Atlantis is a very, very good hotel. And it is very correct and well-arranged. And it has everything you want ...there is not a little bit - attention to your particular person))) ...Therefore, I wrote the above, for those who are not picky about trifles, and are not picky. But then again, if you paid your money, then ask and demand in Russian, do not practice English with a Pakistani on the other side of the counter or handset ...
Again, all the previously described reviews, all in the spirit of “Oh you! Oh you! ”, but for those who came there for the first time, it’s better to know about all sorts of “pitfalls” than about what you can read about the hotel in any Tour avenue. firms...

Water. The room is "supposed" to 0.5 l / day! ! ! What to do with it? The answer is that there is an ICE MACHINE on each floor. You take an ice bucket from the room, collect ice in the machine, pour it into the coffee brew in the room, melt it, and fill free bottles with COLD WITH ICE WATER)))) ...and you have an amount of water not limited by the Hotel at any time. At the hotel, a bottle of water costs 3.8 AED! ! !

Again to compare with Jumeira. Water in it in the rooms without restrictions! ! !

The wife sits next to her and comments. Shower cosmetics are cheap. The gel does not lather, nail files do not. I flushed the toilet every other time, until you press the button)))).


Restaurants. More than an excellent assortment! ! ! I recommend having breakfast at Kaleydoscope (next to the aquarium).
And to dine at Saffrone is the place for lovers of seafood and Asian cuisine! ! ! Dinner per person (anything you want, in any quantity, from 19 to 23 hours), costs 185 AED. BUT IT'S SOMETHING! ! ! Oysters - even a bucket, shrimp, the size - will not fit in the palm of your hand, Peking duck, dessert - from a chocolate fountain to a trivial ice cream (about 10 types) ...this is a feast for the stomach)))
Of the cult restaurants described in the brochures - NOBU (there were no queues, as well as visitors), as well as the Locatelli restaurant. We had our farewell dinner at SeaFire. But it was more a tribute to the name and pomposity of the moment - a farewell evening at the hotel.

For beer lovers. In the beach bars, Happy Hour starts from 16:00 to 20:00. That is, if the rest of the time beer costs 42AED, then in the above time it is 20AED. At the same time, according to the rules, you must take two or a multiple of two mugs))))… beer only PERONNI. . when asked why only so, the answer is: “Not a strong beer. They drink it a lot and order a lot! ".

Two nuances - the first week, you will be offered beer for 22AED, in HH, but insist that 20AED is fine. And secondly - order beer at the bar personally, and let the waiters bring it to you at a table or deck chair accompanied by you. Tip 1-2AED and that's it. If you order from the waiter, lying in a sun lounger, you can "get" the difference from the price in Happy Hour and Regular Price))) ...we were eyewitnesses of two showdowns when the waiter brought drinks at the price of the bar, and the customers counted on the price in Happy Hour. But the cashier's check is a fact! ! ! Do not trample! ! ! And there were breakdowns. Don't be lazy! Go to the bar counter, order it yourself and in one go chat with the people "on the other side of the barrier"))). It's always helpful. . they even tried to argue with me who would drink a 0.5l bottle of rum faster))), I offered an alternative - not faster, but more (I'm only 170 cm tall and 72 kg in weight) ...on a bet, who will fall first will pay for the drink))) , ...did not dare)))
All those who wrote reviews did not mention an important detail - Friday in the UAE is a day off. This is important to consider when visiting the Aquapark and living in the West Wing of the Hotel. In other words, after 11 o'clock in the afternoon in the water park it is simply impossible to do without queues for attractions. Sun loungers - snap))) ...The same applies to visiting LOST CHAMBERS. About the Malls, as for shopping, the same thing.
About the West wing of the hotel (the one that “looks” at the pool from the side of the courts) ...on Thursday it’s a disco until 3 a. m. , and if you are settled on floors below the 9th, then “bow-bow-bow” will not give sleep… besides the laser, projectors and spotlights… although the curtains in the rooms are thick, but “soundproof”… we are on the 13th floor, nevertheless we are aware of the repertoire of the disco…

And about Thursday, separately. This is the day when the evening program of the hotel is full of such delights as - dolphin show, masquerade, light show, fireworks.

Be sure, if you want to get to the first show, find out the time of its holding. It changes every week. And if you want to be in the forefront, then I advise you to come 30 minutes before. earlier… you will sweat, but you won’t sweat, stretching your neck because of the heads of those in front, and you will sit, if not in the first, then certainly not in the 3rd row… the dolphin show is short in time (20 minutes), and on amateur. . I was impressed by one thing - how you can train a swimming mammal))), and children like it ...Masquerade. You are still on the way to the Water Park, you will meet "fire jugglers" and "giants" from different cartoons (on stilts). Light show. There will be an opportunity to “catch” a free sunbed on the central pool of the water park, then take it in advance. Directly opposite the pyramid. The whole play of light will be projected onto it! ! ! Very beautiful. This show takes place after the dolphins and fireworks (5 minutes). Salute is visible from the central beach of the pool.

Always carry the room key with you (it is given in the form of a pocket on a string), it is useful both when walking around the hotel (show it to numerous security guards so as not to be confused with tourists), and when visiting the Aqua Park (which will be free for you). And of course, if something happened to you, and you are not able to say who you are and why you are here, your key will say everything you need for you))))
