We just returned from this hotel, the impressions are mostly positive. In order. We were leaving Proland, the host planet. Then I accidentally found out that the Planet is considered one of the best operators, but at first it was very disappointing. We arrived in Dubai in the evening, almost on the way out of the plane there were already meeting agents with signs, who immediately dismantled their tourists. Nobody met us. I began to ask questions in the information desk and other agents, where is the representative of the Planet. Everyone gave different information. The phone numbers that I was given in Proland to contact the representative of the Planet did not answer. I asked some guy from the visa desk to help. He called from a pay phone (! ), got through somewhere, but did not find out anything himself, but simply gave me the phone. I explained the problem to someone on the other end of the line, he advised me to call back on another phone, but my patience had already snapped, I told him everything I think, he asked me to stay put and wait for him to clarify the situation. In general, the result: half an hour after our arrival, a certain subject appeared with a leisurely gait without any plates or other identification marks and without any attempts to find us. I myself asked him if he was from the Planet, he answered in the affirmative. He gave us our visas, told us what to do, and went somewhere. After we went through all the formalities, he again showed up and said that the bus from the hotel was delayed, they say, traffic jams. For about half an hour we waited for the bus, while this clown was looking for another passenger from our flight, whom he was supposed to meet, and could not find. Thus, if in my place there was a person who did not speak English, he would have to be very nervous, since no one spoke Russian in the arrivals area. For the sake of fairness, I must say that this was, perhaps, one unpleasant moment in our entire stay in Dubai.
The hotel itself was a pleasant surprise. By Turkish-Egyptian standards, I would give it all 4 stars, and maybe even 5. Actually, we chose it based on previous reviews, so I immediately tuned in to win a room above 3 and below 7 floors and away from the elevator. We were offered a room on the 2nd floor. I waved a 20-bucks note in front of the nose of the Hindu standing at the reception, in response, he shook his head left and right (as Indians usually do) and informed me that they only have three free rooms on the 2nd, 5th, 7th floors, subject to availability , and would we like to examine them all and choose the one that we like. We did just that, and chose room 209 (on the second floor), but only after the fervent assurances of the porter who accompanied us that there were no more discos in this hotel and we would sleep in the calmest baby sleep. True, the room turned out to be not far from the elevator, and this squeaker could be heard, but, having enjoyed the beauties of Dubaev and having gained ; ) impressions, we stopped paying attention to it on the very first day. Much more strained some loud neighbors, early in the morning from different ends of the corridor discussing which swimsuit is better to wear today.
As it was correctly written, 90% of the hotel guests are representatives of the former republics of the former USSR, mainly Russia and Kazakhstan, and the bulk of them are lovers of plowing Nasser Square up and down, they were even taken there by a special flight every day by a bus from the hotel, despite the fact that there is a 15 minute walk. In any case, only we arrived from the flight from Kyiv, and only we left, while Russians and Kazakhs came and left in rather big groups. By and large, I don’t care who and where I came from, if they don’t interfere with me to have a normal rest. No one interfered, only the constant talk on the beach about fur coats, sheepskin coats, jackets, trousers and the daily rating of the cheapest stores in Nasser Square slightly strained. What do I care about this? No, I didn't come for that. Only, as a rule, all these discussions took place in groups between 3-4 persons of both sexes, and so loudly that it was heard on the whole beach. In fairness, I must say that the Filipinos are also not very quiet, but at least I don’t understand their language; ) But in general, if you lie down and close your eyes, you get the feeling that you are lying on our Odessa beach in the summer. Russian speech is everywhere, but the Russian-Ukrainian surzhik is not heard.

As already mentioned, there is a bus from the hotel to Al Mamzar Beach, and everything is well organized. As a rule, two buses run at 8 and 9 am, if there are more people, they organize another trip at 10 am. You just need to sign up for the desired time in the evening and get a ticket. There are enough seats on the bus for everyone, because there are no more tickets than there are seats on the bus. However, even in this situation, there were those willing to hustle for the best seat on the bus for the 15 minute ride. As a rule, these are immense aunts who are behind... Well, the Soviet mentality, what can you do?
Service at the hotel at the level, the staff is polite, if there is a problem, they try to help as quickly as possible. The room we stayed in was also quite nice. Freshly painted, almost new furniture, carpeting (still clean), large bed, TV (4 Russian channels), refrigerator, central air conditioning, but not noisy and well regulated. The room itself is quite spacious and bright. Large bathroom (bath and bidet), hair dryer in working condition. Housekeeping is a separate issue. Change of bed linen and towels every day, although we did not throw towels on the floor and did not take them to the beach. True, every day I left 5 dirhams on the table. But, I think, if I had not left them, they would have removed them the same way.
The food is good, quite varied, two types of the first (borscht, kharcho, etc. ), 3-4 types of the second, a lot of salads, vegetables, fruits, always fresh pastries and delicious desserts. There is always enough food, so even if you come at the end of dinner, everything will be fine. By the way, if you go up to the bar in the evening, you can also order dinner from the restaurant there. The prices are very moderate. A hearty dinner for two without alcohol will cost 20-30 bucks.
Yes, there were, of course, some shortcomings, but I would not like to pay attention to them. Firstly, because they are really small, and secondly, do not forget that the hotel is 3 stars, which it more than justifies.

Conclusion: we liked everything about the hotel. But, for those who decide to stay in it, you first need to decide what he wants to get from a trip to Dubai in general. If you buy goods and you do not speak English, you are here. The staff who understands a little Russian and the proximity of Nasser square make this hotel especially attractive for this type of tourists. By the way, I still don’t understand for what kind of food you can go to Dubai. I don’t know how it is in Kazakhstan or in the Russian regions, but here in Odessa the prices for many things are significantly lower. If you just want to relax and see the local attractions, then it is better to choose a hotel somewhere on the other side of the Dubai Creek. The main attractions will be much closer. And one last thing about this hotel. The rooms at the back of the hotel used to offer quite an interesting view, but as I understand it, construction of a new hotel began there not so long ago, which, in turn, stopped due to the crisis. Therefore, now there is a view of an unfinished gray concrete box from there. If the construction starts again, then in these rooms it will probably be quite noisy.
Well, like everything he knew, he said; )
