We stayed at this hotel from 04/01/2012 to 02/11/2012. I must say right away that Alena1985's review is not about the Dar Al Sondos Hotel Apartments by Le Meridien 5 * hotel, but about the Al Sondos Suites by Le Meridien 5 * hotel. The name is similar, and the error turned out. The Al Sondos Suites by Le Meridien 5 * hotel is located in the Deira area and is really located near the airport and the hypermarket - Deira city center. But that means further from the beach. And it, apparently, is much larger than the hotel in which I rested with my family and which will be discussed later, namely Dar Al Sondos Hotel Apartments by Le Meridien 5 *.
The hotel is located in the Bar Dubai area in the Indian quarters. By the way, there is an excellent review about the hotel, which is located nearby and which was very useful to me: http://www.turpravda.com/ae/dubay/Palm_Beach_Hotel-h8698-r66077.html Thank you so much Pe4kin for your efforts!
I repeat that the location of the hotel in the Indian quarter is not a minus, but a huge plus, because. markets and restaurants are mainly oriented to local Indians, and therefore the prices are very democratic. And don't be scared - the Hindu area does not mean a dirty area - there are no dirty areas in Dubai, it seems.

The hotel is excellent. It has 7 floors for vacationers (without the first, on which the reception). The first six are non-smokers and the seventh is smokers. Rooftop pool indoor poolside gym and sauna. Gym, swimming pool and sauna free of charge for residents from morning to 22.00. I will make a reservation that during our vacation the hotel was empty, so there were relatively few people in the restaurant, in the pool and on the bus to the beach. But on the last day, vacationers came in large numbers, and therefore the restaurant felt strained with seats.
There is a free shuttle to the beach - from 10.00 to 14.00. They take you to the nearest free beach. The beach is excellent, but if the day is sunny, then upon arrival at the beach at 10.15 you most likely will not have enough umbrellas that are rented on the beach. (small AED 5, large AED 10, towel AED 5, lounger AED 15). Therefore, you either need to go to the beach earlier by taxi (23 AED) or have your own umbrella. Without an umbrella bad, almost impossible. The sun is fierce, and since in Dubai I have not burned anywhere else, although I was in the shade all the time.
Once we went to the paid Al mamzar beach (taxi 28 AED, entrance - 5 AED). They charge a fee there not because the beach is better (I personally liked the beach more than the one they took from the hotel), but because the beach is adjacent to a chic park area, which is definitely worth a walk.
Again about the hotel. At the reception, they do not speak Russian at all and do not understand. Be prepared for the fact that you will be required to have at least minimal knowledge of English. We took a room on the 7th floor for smokers. I don’t know, maybe that’s why, but our room turned out to be one and a half times larger than the non-smoking room on the 6th floor, in which two more members of our family lived.
The room was excellent, large, air conditioning with control in the room and very powerful - 5 min. and it's already cold.
The tour was taken from a Russian-speaking girl who represented the host - a sightseeing tour of Dubai for $55 + an ascent to the Burj Khalifa for $20.

What can be said. The Burj Khalifa is definitely worth the climb. At what it is worth climbing both during the day and in the evening, when the city is lit with lights, and at the foot of the tower you can see flashes of dancing fountains. But I didn’t really like the tour - the Russian-speaking guy, the guide Stas, clearly muttered it without trying, and brought it to several places to take pictures. There were 4 of us, so now I was a little guided by the sights of the city, I realized that for $ 220, which is almost 800 dirhams, we would be taken by taxi to all the nooks and crannies of Dubai with a stop in Abu Dhabi (just kidding). Taxi fare is 3 AED. boarding (in the evening 3.5) and 2 AED. kilometer. Taxis are luxurious - half of them are Toyota Kemri and 25% each are Nissan and Hyundai of the same class.
In general, the holiday was a success.
