When choosing a hotel, I really liked the room in red colors, and therefore, when the receptionist gave a card from the room on the 5th floor (i. e. , in yellow colors), I immediately asked to show me exactly the "red" room, which, it seemed to me, surprised the manager very much . We went to see both numbers, in principle, how the numbers look in the picture, they are in reality.
I chose all the same "red" number, which I regretted literally five minutes after the delivery of things. The room is somehow depressingly dark, it smells of dampness and some specific nasty Arab smells. located on the first floor (actually on the third because there are also floors G and M) I don’t want to open the curtains at all. After half an hour of examining the premises, I went to the reception with a request to change the room, to which I received a response from the general manager that, unfortunately, there were no free rooms, but as soon as they appeared, we would definitely change and even made some kind of entry into the computer (as they say, politely sent by the forest). It's good that the sympathetic Russian girl Olya was on duty (the time was already about 3 am), after talking with the chef, we were given a "yellow" room on the 7th floor, and to our pleasure "for non-smokers". The windows face the shady side, which, as I understand it, in the heat is not even bad.
Thus began our acquaintance with the Emirates. In principle, the hotel rooms are quite spacious, everything works, everything that is stated in the catalogs is present. The hotel really looks quite fresh, on the roof there is a small unheated pool, sauna, gym, etc. There is a free shuttle service to the mall and to the beach.

The next day we decided to have dinner at the hotel restaurant. There is Russian live music, a Russian ensemble performs, in principle it is quite worthy, but... if you have not been to your homeland for a very long time. There are only Arabs in the hall (and indeed in the hotel). The quality of the ordered dishes and service is a stretched C grade, while the bill was $ 80. We didn't go there again during our vacation. As did not go to the nightclub of the hotel. As one of the stewards (a native of the former USSR) succinctly responded - "not a hotel, but a brothel". The fact is that Arabs come to a nightclub to spend their "night leisure" with girls of easy virtue, of whom there are plenty in the hotel lobby at night (apparently the manager's surprise about my desire to settle in the "red" room has a reasonable origin). By the way, the music from the nightclub was heard on the 7th floor (I can imagine what is happening on the first floor), since after the raids on the shopping centers of Dubai, you don’t pay attention to it at all. On a negative note, I want to note that upon departure we were presented with a bill for 25 drams for the eaten "Tick - tock" (strange, I would never have bought it in Russia) and drunk Lipton tea. All proceedings did not lead to anything, I had to pay, but the sediment remained (p. s. check immediately for paid food in the room so as not to fall into a trap).
Overall impression - the hotel is not bad, but clearly not worth the money spent. In my opinion, it is well located, walking along Nasser Square and the old part of the city, I thought with a shudder how good it is that my hotel is not located in this bedbug and sincerely sympathized with those tourists who had to listen to the howling of numerous mosques every day, watch the dirty "indopaks" and apparently former compatriots with the same, memorized "fur coats, plasma, etc. "
P. s. The hotel staff by the way left even a very positive impression.
P. p. s. hello to all Dubai, a very pleasant city, and my wife was crazy about shopping, which is worth only two Ego fur coats !! !
