We were at the Oceanic Hotel in September. We went on an all inclusive basis. We arrived from the airport around 4 o'clock. night and just a few minutes later we were given a room. All our wishes were taken into account without any "baksheesh" (when compared with Egypt). The room is quite comfortable, the furniture is new, TV with three Russian channels, electronic safe, hair dryer, daily change of bed linen, minibar with juices and drinks (for a fee), two bottles of water were given daily (if necessary, water could be taken in the restaurant). The hotel turned out to be half full, and of all the residents, about 70% were Russians. The rest were Germans, Poles, French. By Fridays, the hotel was populated by Arabs with their families (they came for their weekends). All vacationers mostly spent time on the beach and the pool was almost empty. On Fridays, the Arabs with the kids occupied it. We, the tourists, were treated quite kindly by everyone.
The staff went out of their way to please the guests. It is surprising that although the majority of vacationers are Russians, the staff does not understand a word of ours. You can resolve all issues through the only employee at the reception - her name is Dina. But if you know a little bit of English, then there will be no problems. Those who had "all inclusive" were given a plastic bracelet, but despite this, when applying for drinks at the pool bar or at the entrance to the restaurant, they always asked for the room number (and it was necessary to call the number in English) and asked to sign the receipt (it was necessary for them for reporting, but we were somewhat tired). Only the most positive emotions remained about the restaurant itself. All food is delicious and varied. Lots of fruits, vegetables, pastries, cakes. Excellent fish dishes. Many people liked such a dish as "seafoot" (each time new).
There were families vacationing with small children, and they also needed food, there were no hungry children. There are no water sports as stated in the hotel description. The diving center is also not visible. Those who had masks with them swam to nearby rocks, but there was nothing to see there.

The beach is sandy. The surf constantly throws out a variety of shells and everyone goes to collect their collection. Crabs crawl in the water. During our stay, a turtle swam to the beach twice. The only negative is the construction of 4 cottages right behind the beach, just 10 meters away. The sounds of a working electric tool (grinder and puncher), as well as the noise from a bulldozer, were very tiring. Construction is expected to be completed in January 2014. So for those who want to relax in peace and quiet, I do not advise you to go to this hotel before the summer of 2014. No one in the travel agency told us about the construction site, otherwise we would not have gone for anything.
We went from Pegasus. Of the entire list of excursions, we were offered only a sightseeing tour to Dubai and a trip for fur coats and leather to shopping centers. Even on a sightseeing tour of Dubai, we were brought to some fur shop and then to a carpet store. So for those who need rags, there is no need to go to this hotel. The drive to Dubai is far (almost 2 hours) and expensive. At 15 min. walk from the hotel there is a shopping center where you can buy any food, clothing. A larger store is 40 min. taxi ride. All purchases are only in local currency - dirhams. Currency can be exchanged at the hotel reception, at the entrance to shops or at banks. The most favorable rate is in exchangers, but if the amount is small, then it is possible at the hotel.
Well, the Indian Ocean made the most unforgettable impression on us. The hotel even brought an excursion from those who rest on the shores of the Persian Gulf to swim and look at the ocean. Water + 28 - do not want to go out.
Within sight is the second largest container ship handling port in the UAE. But it does not interfere and it is even interesting to look at the huge ships.

Dubai Airport also made a big impression on us. We flew on an Emirates Airlines A-330. Arrived and departed through the terminal of this airline. You will not find such an attitude towards passengers on the part of stewardesses and airport employees in our country. The airport itself, despite the huge flow of passengers, is very convenient and it is very easy to follow the signs. The only place where there was a queue and had to stand for about 30 minutes. This is passport control upon arrival.

They flew from Pegasus and not for the first time. We trusted this tour operator, but in vain. When registering at the Oceanic Hotel, not a word was said that cottages were being built next to the beach, just 10 meters away. There was no question of a calm and quiet rest by the ocean. From 8 a. m. to 5 p. m.
noise from a working hammer drill and grinders, the roar of a bulldozer engine. All these sounds blocked the sound of the ocean surf. All in all, they spoiled our holiday. There are no questions to the Pegasus guides themselves. Everyone liked Osman very much, accompanying us on a sightseeing tour to Dubai. He talked a lot and sensibly, answered all questions.
