We had a great rest, which is what I wish you, so I will try to give the most detailed information about my trip. So, we rested in the UAE for the first time from 18.09 to 28.09.

We flew with air arabia, a budget Arab company, they are fed on board only if your lunch was paid for by a travel agency, so check this issue at home if you don’t want to be left without lunch. The seats are certainly not the most comfortable, but you can fly. The flight there and back went smoothly. Arrived in Sharjah at 20.15. Immediately upon arrival at the airport, there is an exchanger right along the corridor, but it’s not the most favorable exchange rate, I recommend passing by, then along the corridor on the left side there is duty free with alcohol, the prices are not the cheapest, I think it’s more profitable to bring everything from home, the norm for each person 2 liters of strong alcohol and 2 liters. wine or beer, 6 cans of beer = 1 liter of vodka, something like this.

Then we go to the retina (we didn’t have it, the device broke down, and then to passport control, we stood there for 30-40 minutes. Then we took our luggage and went out, there is an exchanger before leaving, there the exchange rate is 1 USD = 3.66 dirhs. which is quite normal, because the highest rate is 3.67 dirhams. We did not order a transfer, because after reading the reviews in advance, for which we thank everyone, we decided to move exclusively on our own, without waiting for someone else. Taxi to the hotel it cost us 55 dirhams. We arrived in 35-40 minutes. A porter met us at the entrance, immediately picked up the suitcase, then we proceeded to the reception, where they took our passports (just in case, we made copies of them and always carried them with us) and gave us the keys to the room. The room on the second floor is 253 from the elevator to the right, the kitchen with its noise was left. We ordered the most budget room with a view of the city, but got a two-room suite with plasma and one large double bed, which we were very pleased with.
We handed 5 dirhams to the porter who brought our suitcase, asked us to immediately clean the mini-bar fridge, bring a kettle. Everything was done quickly. By the way, if you are a picky eater, all rooms have such a peculiar smell, but you sniff it very quickly and get used to it. Furniture and plumbing are certainly not new, but strong, but what do you want from a troika? As for the safe - the next morning a man came and showed me how to use it. We kept all valuables and money there, very convenient. Linen, towels and room cleaning daily. We left the cleaner 1 dirham. I heard that some of them were never cleaned. Approach the reception on this issue - they will never refuse anything, by the way, almost all the staff understand the Russian language, at worst, there is a sign language, and of course the whole country speaks excellent English, everyone is very friendly and welcoming.

About food. We took only breakfast, which we never regretted.
The breakfasts are very tasty and plentiful. The assortment is the same almost every day, only the juice changes, and a couple of side dishes. There are always slices of cheese (5 types), sausage (2 types, they say that the sausage is natural, without soy and glutamate, it is very expensive in the store, like cheeses), cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, porridge, rice or pasta, eggs (boiled, scrambled eggs, fried eggs), very tasty beans in sauce, sometimes french fries, pancakes, always potato nagens, beef and chicken sausages, there are yoghurts, canned fruits, cereal, jam, you can make toasts, there was only watermelon from fruits and very sweet dates. There was always water, juices from concentrates (almost like everywhere else), coffee from a coffee maker, tea from a thermos, and milk if desired. There is no drinking water in the room, but we went to the gym, there is a cooler. For lunch, we took sandwiches from breakfast, which was almost enough for us, because we don’t feel like eating a lot.

We dined either at home with food from carrefour supermarkets (these are the cheapest supermarkets, located in the city centers of Dubai and Sharjah, where you can buy everything, and water, and juices, and fruits are inexpensive, and sushi, and grilled chicken for 16 dirhams and salads, everything is fresh ), and also visited the so-called restaurant (in my opinion, an eatery) AL KHAN, they cook there for a very long time, for example, they took Greek salad (some kind of rough cut), assorted grilled seafood - pretty well, and fresh, all this cost 77 dir. , portions are large, feel free to take 1 for two, as in the Sanobar restaurant, it’s certainly more expensive there (145 dirhams, you can fit in 80-90 depending on the dishes), but the service is much higher, the dishes are brought quickly and it’s clear that everyone freshly prepared. We tried tuna salad there, very tasty soup and seafood, grilled fish fillet and king prawns, as well as very tasty lopsters.
As a present, they bring cakes and slices of watermelon at the end of dinner, but closer to the season they brought a plate of vegetables instead of cakes, which upset me a little. So check it out right now. By the way, sauces, pita bread and pickled vegetables will immediately be brought free of charge. We didn’t go to the Kazan restaurant across the road at the Al Seef hotel, because we heard that the portions are small, and the food is not very tasty and the wait is very, very long. The dinners of our hotel were praised, but they said that this year there are no themed dinners as before (Italian there, Chinese, etc. ).

In order to contact my relatives, I bought a payphone card from the company etisalat in the store of our hotel for 30 dirhams, which is 15 minutes. calls to Russia, billing per second.

Beach. It's just luxury.
The Persian Gulf is warm, gentle, the sand is clean and fine, but by the end of our trip, the so-called season began to set in and both the air and water temperatures began to decrease, and I began to catch myself that I didn’t even have enough heat. In general, we were told that the daily temperature ranged from 42-47 in the afternoon and 35 in the evening. A slight discomfort is felt only in the city and until 19.30. We came to the beach at 9.30-10.00. Someone was already there at 6 in the morning, noticed on departure on the last day. There were always enough sunbeds for everyone. Towels are provided for free as much as you want, but you can't take them out of the hotel. There are also sun loungers by the pool. The pool is clean, no chlorine, a bit chilled. There is a children's paddling pool. Fine. I regretted very much that we did not take our daughter with us. Beach holidays in our hotel-paradise!

Shopping. We were not particularly interested in it, but we saw something, heard something.

The hotel provides a free shuttle service to Dubai City Center (the next stop is Nasser Square) - 3 p. per day round-trip, and many centers and malls of Sharjah several times a day, ask the timetable and maps of Sharjah and Dubai immediately at the reception, they will kindly provide. It is better to buy equipment and fur coats at Nasser Square, there are a lot of small shops BUT to be honest, now it seems that the UAE is not the best place for profitable shopping, the prices are the same as in Russia, and the quality is not very good. A decent fur coat for 2500-3500 dollars. up to the knee. Equipment cheaper by 2000, large 5000 rubles. The largest are Abrazh and Kristal, as far as fur is concerned. The Italian furs Emporio Jiodomo are also praised. And look at the equipment in the MeTRO store on Sabkha street, under the sign of the Sabkha hotel, there are always a lot of customers and goods, they say, adapted to our country.

Tours. Of the paid excursions, we took only a safari for $ 55. per person at the Al Seef hotel, where the Kazan restaurant is, all excursions are cheaper there.
Safari is a magnificent excursion to the Arabian desert, where you are taken along the dunes, it’s already breathtaking, then we follow to an impromptu Arab camp, where a hookah, water and cola, henna tattoos are completely free of charge, you can take pictures in national clothes, camel riding , then an entertainment program where a girl (we seem to be Russian) dances oriental dances, a show with lights, and a buffet dinner with a barbecue. The same driver delivers home, which he used to ride on a land cruiser along the dunes and pick up the hotel. The only thing is, if you are in poor health or your age is running out, it’s better not to take risks, a 59-year-old woman had a stroke.

My husband and I decided to visit all the other sights on our own, since there is the Internet and wonderful reviews from tourists.

On the transfer, we went to Deira City Center, then by metro to the Burj Khalifa / Dubai Mall station.
Take the subway at least once. We decided to take the notorious gold class. Paid 60 dirhams for two. Nothing special, I'll tell you, it's not worth overpaying. There are also sometimes no seating places, it differs only in softer chairs and a partition. It turns out that when buying tickets, you need to specify where you are going, with or without transfers, whether you will go back, and whether you will go by bus. There are 2 types of tickets: regular for one trip - indicate where (13 AED for two), and all zones - gives the right to move around the city by metro or bus with transfers all day long (32 AED for two). So, from the Dubai Mall metro station, we took a bus to the Mall, where we went shopping, the prices were not cheap, we visited an aquarium with wildlife on 3 floors. if I'm not mistaken, 80 dirhs. per person - min. ticket, it includes 10 dirhams for a souvenir.

, the impression is even so-so, I expected more, in Charzhde I liked the aquarium much more, and the price is 20 dirhs per person along with the maritime museum, which is opposite. Then we bought tickets for the Burj Khalifa. They cost 100 dirhams per person (if you take a view on the day of buying a ticket - 400 dirhams), as we took 3 days in advance, the time is 18.00 - the beginning of sunset. And then proceeded to view the singing fountains, the spectacle is absolutely free. They start at 18.00 and until 23.00 every 30 minutes, the performance lasts 3 minutes, very beautiful, I recommend it to everyone. We got home on a free shuttle at 21.00. If by taxi, then expect dirham 70 to the hotel.

We also explored Dubai Creek and the old city on our own. We took a transfer to Nasser Skwea, walked about 5 minutes along the strait and boarded an ambergris boat for 1 dirh. per person, a couple of minutes and we are on the opposite bank, where the old market awaits us, be sure to bargain until 0, and the Dubai History Museum (entrance 5 dir.
per person), then Bastakiya Fort, the mosque and back to the ambergris, but the pier is farther away - specify that they went to the gold and spice market, went through them safely, and went to Nasser Square, where they got acquainted with the assortment of shops and returned to the place where we I brought a transfer to return home on it, by the way, there is a decent Golden Fork cafe on Nasser, with a good menu, affordable prices and even, they say, beer, but, unfortunately, we somehow missed this place.

Climbing the Burj Khalifa. You need to come up 15 minutes before the time on the tickets, the super elevator takes you to the 124th floor, if I'm not mistaken in 1 minute. 05 sec. Someone even pawns their ears. As long as you want on the observation deck. We found the city both during the day and at night - a super sight. And also watched the singing fountains from above.

Hotel Parus.

We got to the Emirates Mall by metro, there we looked at sky dubai - a ski resort behind glass, inside the temperature was - 3 degrees, the prices in this mall are also decent, so we went further, our goal was to visit jumeirah open beach free, i. e. . free beach near the hotel Sail (Burj Al Arab) and Jumeirah Beach Hotel. For some reason we went on foot, idiots, take a taxi, I think no more than 20 dirhams. Finally, then we are on the beach, I liked the beach more than in our hotel, denser sand, fewer waves and saltier water - I felt the spirit of the real Persian Gulf, take towels, they are not there even for money. We bought and took pictures against the backdrop of hotels perfectly. Next, by taxi, we followed the Palm Jumeirah (bulk islands) 27 dirhs.
, looked at the Atlantis hotel, let them in the lobby near the aquarium (it costs 100 dirhams, we decided not to go, disappointed with the aquarium in the dubai mall), took a picture against the backdrop of the hotel, they didn’t let them in too close, and then took a taxi (26 dirhams) to the area Dubai Marina is a local promenade, we walked a little there, well, yachts, like yachts, there is nothing special to see, and back on the metro and to Deira, from where we take a transfer home.

In Sharjah, we were in the city center, by the way, to the right of it there is a gift market, where the cheapest souvenirs are from 1 to 10 dirhams. Were at the fruit market, it's easier to buy fruits in the supermarket, where there is more choice. You can walk from the hotel for about 15 minutes, but better in the evening, to the Ferris wheel "Eye of the Emirates" or al kasbah, as they call it. A wheel ticket costs 30 dirhams per person (we were not lured, and the booths were all empty). There are restaurants there, but the food is not cheap.
We visited the famous market "Engines" - a big disappointment, they sell Chinese consumer goods, well, scarves, carpets, of course.

We spent the whole day on the beach before leaving. The beach is officially until 18.00, but no one closes the door or kicks you out of the beach, so many swim in the evening after sunset. They collected healing sea water, it helps a lot with colds. In the morning we got up at 5.30, had breakfast, had an early breakfast at the hotel especially for those leaving, caught a taxi to Sharjah airport, safely handed over the room and got our passports, the taxi drove for 20 minutes, costing 37 dirhams, so we are definitely against the general transfer. We spent about an hour going through passport control and checking in our luggage. And here we are flying home, arrived safely, great landing. The budget of our trip was 48.000 rubles. -a ticket with visas and 25.000 we spent on food and excursions, although we took much more with us. Great impression of the country.
If we return to the UAE, then only to this hotel.
