We rested together with my husband from January 24 to 31.2014. We were in the Emirates for the first time, the hotel was chosen based on the reviews of other tourists.
We arrived at the hotel at about 23-24 hours, we were checked in very quickly, no deposits or deposits were asked. At the reception (having read the tips: ) I asked for "A quiet room, please" (quiet room). We were given room 1209 on the 12th floor. And it really was the quietest option: firstly, high, and secondly, in the opposite direction from the entrance to the hotel. And as many have already written, the hotel faces a noisy freeway. But our room was quite quiet.
The view from our window was of boxes of high-rise buildings and endless rows of used cars for sale. There is nowhere to walk around the hotel, it is better to immediately take a taxi and go to Al-Kasbah or Al-Majad for this. Taxis stand directly under the hotel. There is also a stop of some bus number 8 under the hotel, I don’t know the route : )

There are no balconies in the hotel, although the website states that there is. "Modern equipped gyms" are two small rooms (separately for men and women). In the women's room there is a treadmill, an exercise bike and an elliptical trainer. From the gym there is access to the shower, changing room and a small sauna.
I liked the bed in the room - soft, large and very pleasant bed linen. Linen and towels are white and fresh. The room has a desktop with a cable for Internet access, we took a netbook with us and used it. And to access the Internet in the city, they bought a SIM card from a local operator DU for 110 dirhams with 2 GB.
Also in the room there is a safe (very convenient) and a micro-fridge. It is enough for juice and yoghurts. There is also a small electric kettle and a tea set: cups, glasses, disposable spoons, sugar, tea and coffee bags, two bottles of water. During cleaning, the maid (Pakistani) replenished supplies, though water - at his own discretion. As we were told at the reception, water is provided upon check-in and is renewed once, but it was added to us a couple more times every other day. For those who want to watch TV, there is only one Russian TV channel. Bathroom with shower. The cabin, yes, is leaking. There is a hair dryer, liquid soap, gel, aka shampoo. The shower cabin has either a tap at foot level or an overhead shower. The room has air conditioning with a control panel on the wall (not used, not the season). There are laundry and ironing services, food delivery to the room, alarm clock, etc.
When we rented a car, we used the hotel parking lot. Late in the evening, of course, it is crowded, cars were parked along the walls of the exit.

From the food at the hotel, we took only buffet breakfast. Breakfast from 6.30 to 10.30. Because we are "owls" and the time difference with Kiev is 2 hours, then we came to 10, but there was never a shortage of dishes or empty plates. Yes, every morning there was an almost identical set of products, as they wrote here, but I have the same breakfast at home : ) The main thing is that their set matches your preferences : ). So, on the menu: pancakes, toast, tortillas, muffins, something like feta, olives, sausages, sausage, fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, watermelons, oranges, something from yogurt with herbs, about 5 spicy local dishes ( cereals and legumes), corn flakes, honey, butter, jam, syrup, milk, tea, coffee, orange and pineapple juice. One piece of advice - do not eat sausages and sausages, neither in the hotel nor from supermarkets. The sausage industry is not their forte : )
On the territory of the hotel dining room (well, this is not a restaurant : ) there is a Russian-speaking female guide from Uzbekistan, very pleasant and friendly. Can help with advice or recommendations. The hotel has a free shuttle to Al Khan Beach (aka Lu-Lu open beach) at 8.9 and 10 and back at 12.13 and 14. And twice a week a transfer to Dubai to Deira City Center. Haven't used either so I can't comment.
We lived in the mode of "woke up, had breakfast - on the road" and so on until 12 o'clock at night. The amenities and services of the hotel were completely enough with this schedule. If any questions or complaints arose, they were resolved at the reception very quickly. And claims this week arose only about cleaning the room: regardless of the amount of tips left, our maid cleaned carelessly, forgot to leave towels or shampoo. But in general, everything was fine, the impressions of the hotel are positive.
I think Citymax Sharjah is best for those who want to get a beach holiday for little money (due to a transfer to the free Sharjah beach). If you want to travel and see a lot, then it is still better to live in Dubai, because. what you save on the cost of the hotel (hotels in Sharjah are cheaper than in Dubai), you will spend on transport.
