I DO NOT ADVISE!!! ! In general, I liked it, but there were three fly in the ointment, which at the end spoiled the whole impression of the hotels. I'll start in order. Rested with his wife and child in the period from 22.05. 11 to 29.05. 11. Arrived late in the evening, met well. I was surprised that at 11 pm traffic jams, or rather not a traffic jam, but very dense traffic at a speed of 40 km / h. When they settled in, they immediately asked for a view of the canal, before leaving they read in the reviews that there was a construction site and a mosque with the chants of the mullah on the other side. They gave it without problems, by the way, the room is excellent, unfortunately without a balcony, but in principle they are not in this hotel, as in most other hotels in the UAE. It seemed to me that the hotel is occupied by 25-30 percent. The contingent at our time of stay was 50/50 Russians/Arabs. There were almost no Europeans. Most annoying was the presence of the Arabs, I have never seen such impudent and ill-mannered people. Everywhere they climb without a queue, whether it's a breakfast bus or an elevator. The service staff is excellent, everyone is smiling, very friendly, it's so nice to leave a tip which they accept with great gratitude. Of the entertainment there is only a swimming pool and a sauna, there is no territory at all. The two pools are located on the terraces, on the east and west sides, it is very convenient, there is always sun or shade from one side, whoever needs what. The water in the pools is hot 32-33 degrees. As previously written here, you practically do not feel bleach, if there is very little. They take you to the beach by the hotel bus at 10-00, bring you and pick you up at 16-00. The maximum could withstand only until 14-00, the sun is not possible then. Therefore, we always returned by taxi, with our money a one-way trip is no more than 80 rubles or 7-10 derhams. I recommend that you go to the beach and also take a taxi by 9-00, at 10-00 there will be no sunbeds. Since the beach belongs to another hotel (Carlton seems to be the name) and there are vacationers who tend to take all the sunbeds in the morning. DO NOT FORGET to write out coupons in your hotels otherwise they will not let you on the beach. As for affordable gold, this is a myth, more expensive than in Russia. Things are cheaper, but not strikingly 15-30%. Probably there it is really interesting when the sales period. The malls are impressive in their size, a bunch of foot courts, taxis, electric cars. In Dubai mall, it is worth going to the aquarium, to the kotok (they locked the whole hockey stadium in a shopping complex). But the most interesting thing is the singing fountains. The spectacle is super, it starts at 18-00 and every half hour there is a different performance. The streams of water, light and music are so combined that in my opinion it is more interesting and more beautiful than fireworks. In Burj Khalifa (the tallest building in the world 828 meters) which is adjacent to the pier, we did not get in, 3 days before our departure, all tickets were sold. Therefore, if you are interested, book tickets immediately. There is an option to get in without a queue, but the price per person increases 4 times. Standard 100 derhams, without a queue 400, and this is 3200 rubles for an elevator ride, somehow a little expensive. Who was saying nothing special about the view from the plane at the time of landing. In Emirates Mall, the most interesting thing is the winter park. Ski slope, children's slides, very cool and relatively inexpensive. An interesting subway, where trains run without drivers, everything is run by a computer. The ticket is valid throughout the day not only in the metro, but also on the bus, and most importantly, you can’t get out without it, so don’t throw it away, otherwise you won’t be able to get through the turnstiles at the exit of the station. There are separate VIP carriages, they are probably more expensive, but I won’t say how much, there are tin seats for people in wheelchairs and a separate carriage for women and children. I myself saw how an employee of the subway escorted the men out of the car. The same story with the bus, the first door for women and children and the rest through the remaining two. By the way, a woman at her discretion can go with everyone. THE PROMISED THREE SPOONS OF OAR1. On the Internet, they say that in the UAE there are very large fines for garbage, apparently this is a myth. You take exactly a step to the side from the street into the alley between the houses and you understand how clean and wonderful it is here. I haven’t seen such dirt and garbage for a long time, I immediately remembered Cairo, which was filthy to the point of being impossible. The local population throws out bottles and packs of cigarettes from passing cars. In the water channels, of which there are several in Sharjah, packages, bottles, pizza float, in short, you can meet anything there. It is also likely that either sewage or some kind of technical water is discharged into them, because in the morning from the room we observed seething in the lagoon and foamy stains. To my surprise, some fish there. 2. The hotel provides a Bus (as they proudly call it a shuttle) to take you from Sharjah to Dubai. They are taken to two points City Center (this is also a Mall, but closer in size to ours), and Diera Tower. There is a schedule. We were somehow unloaded 200 meters further than the usual bus parking lot, as repairs were being carried out and some kind of cable was being pulled. I clarified with the driver that they would definitely pick up from a new place, he assured everyone that where he dropped off, he would pick it up there. As a result of 21-45, our bus flew past us without stopping, chasing it for a quarter did not give anything. As it turned out later, the driver changed, and forgot to tell the new one where to pick up tourists. Another tourist from Russia and I took a taxi, arrived at the hotel, and asked to be reimbursed for the expenses incurred. The money is not big, about 500 rubles, but the principle itself. We were assured that the problem would be solved and our money would be returned at 10 am tomorrow. . In short, I gave explanations two more times and so nothing was returned to us. 3. And now the most interesting. Three days before departure, I find a camera in a case on the bus. The pictures show that a woman with three children and apparently her mother rested in this hotel between April 13-17, maybe more, but the last picture was 17. I went to the reception and announced the find, they told me that no one had lost anything declared. I asked to see a family with 3 children in the guest lists for the specified period, which is rarely satisfied now and most likely there will be no coincidences. They assured me that they would definitely find out and tell me the last name, since we decided that it was imperative to return the camera to the owner upon returning home. Every day I approached and was interested, but they continued to feed me breakfast, as is the case with the bus. On the day of departure, when there were 40 minutes left before the transfer. Once again I went to the reception, then Varvara was on duty (she is often written about in the forums), for the third time I explained everything to her. She began to actively seek. At some point, a Russian-speaking Arab came up, heard a conversation about the found camera, at first he didn’t attach any importance, but then when he saw Nikon’s SLR around my neck, his eyes shone. He thought that we had found him and began to insist that we hand over the camera against his signature and they would return it to the owner themselves. I explained that since they dealt with our problem with the bus, I do not believe them and I am not going to leave anything, it was already a matter of principle. And then it started. The Arab called the security service, a bunch of people came running, everyone considers it their duty to tell us that we are simply obliged to give the find, otherwise, according to the laws of Sharjah, we will be subject to arrest. When there was about 15 minutes left before the transfer, the situation escalated to the maximum, they began to call allegedly the police. I took my things and the family went to the exit from the hotel, they timidly tried to stop me, but apparently my furious look made it clear that it was better not to touch me with my hands. We got into a taxi, but at that moment the hotel employees said something to him, and the driver refused to take us. Moved to another, same story. We took our things and walked a hundred meters from the hotel, caught another taxi and went to the airport. Passing by the hotel, the number of our taxi was recorded, and if it were not for the terrible traffic jam that happens here every Friday, we would have expected a chase. The airport was in Dubai, and this is already another state, and probably finding a camera is not such a crime that the police of another state would deal with it. ps I would like to add that when I left, I left my e-mail to Varvara, and a few days later she sent us the names of the intended guests (thanks again to her). They were compatriots from Moscow. Through the Internet, we were able to find them, call them and after the holidays we plan to send a fotik.
