Let me start by saying that this was not the first time we had a rest in the UAE. Before the emirate of Sharjah, my family and I were in Dubai, then in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, and this time we decided to get acquainted with the emirate of Sharjah. Based on a not very rich financial situation, we were looking for a hotel on the principle of cheap, but cheerful. After going through several acceptable options, we stopped at the Royal Beach 5 * hotel. Judging by the meager reviews, everything was more or less good. Judging by the few photos, everything looked decent.
Landing at Sharjah Airport on June 28.2016 at 8:10 pm (local time). Check-in and baggage claim went quickly. They got on the bus. There were 15 of us. There were 9 people in our Royal Beach hotel. So. First of all, they began to breed 7 people in 5 hotels throughout the emirate of Sharjah. We got to our hotel at 22:30 at night. Although the drive to our hotel from the airport is 15 minutes. The mood was spoiled from the very beginning, given that the entire journey from the Republic of Tatarstan to the UAE took about 2 days (flights are made only from Moscow). Already when the restaurant was closing, they managed to feed us.
The lobby in the hotel matched the photos on the Internet sites. Russian speaking staff at the reception as well. But the room that we got and, as it turned out, making up the bulk of this hotel, left much to be desired. The whole room, in principle, of medium size, is pasted over with wallpaper from Soviet times. Initially, the bathroom, shower, lighting fixtures were faulty.

The next day, by calling Reception, these problems seem to have been eliminated. But the constant problem of water on the floor after taking a shower remained until the end of the holiday. By the way, the room does not have a shower, but a bath. And it's 5*!! ! There was also a very big problem with the air conditioning in the room. We have not heard such a noisy air conditioner anywhere. When it was turned on, all the members of our family woke up. Change of bedding and cleaning was done daily. In this regard, there are practically no complaints. The exception is the lack of towels and tea accessories.
The hotel is really very small, as is the beach on its territory. There are enough sun loungers on the beach for all its visitors. The entrance to the sea is rocky and with a wave all these stones beat against your legs. An adult seems to be tolerant, but the children were afraid to go into the water. After each bath, I had to treat abrasions on my legs. It was a nightmare to stay 2-4 days in a hotel on this beach. The beach was littered with watermelons, melons, cabbages, eggplants, and household rubbish. All this came from the sea and swam near the shore. But that was just the beginning. Following this garbage, oil waste arrived to the shore, in the form of lumps of bitumen. Feet, slates, bathing suits were covered in fuel oil. A photo of this disgrace is attached.
Next is the pool. It is one and far from large for a 5 * hotel. When it was impossible to swim in the sea, all the vacationers rushed to swim in the pool...
Next, I would like to mention the restaurant as a separate item. People!! ! It's far from a buffet. An adult person, in principle, may not remain hungry. An exception may be only lunch soups. The child practically did not touch anything (we had 2 meals a day). In the evening I had to find ways to feed the child. From fruits and berries there were: watermelon, grapes, orange, apples, everything!! ! Desserts are out of the question! The food is the same every day. AND THIS IS A 5* HOTEL!!!
And the last important negative that remained in the soul about this hotel. In all, you probably know that while relaxing in the UAE you lose 2 days (the day of arrival + departure).

In principle, this can be reconciled. When leaving the Royal Beach Hotel at 4 am, the hotel staff showed, it seems to me, a disregard for their vacationers. This is manifested by the fact that having paid for the full days of arrival and departure, we did not even get breakfast on the road. It turns out it was necessary to inform that we would take their Box Lunch with us. So we were left without paid by us, at least breakfast. For your information, Emirates Airlines does not offer free meals.
P. S. Important for people who know how to count their money! All pleasant memories of this country are spoiled thanks to the Royal Beach Hotel, Sharjah. Never wrote a review before. But now I'm overwhelmed. Lord!! ! Don't believe all the positive reviews about this hotel. This hotel does not deserve 5*. In my opinion, the hotel deserves a weak 3*.
