Travel agency: (Kaliningrad) Service type: пакетный тур |
I decided for the first time to try to go on a trip with Travel Bureau LLC. I was seduced by aggressive advertising and a low price. But as the proverb says: "Cheap cheese is only found in a mousetrap." And I was able to fully verify this when ordering a tour at the Travel Bureau. On August 4, I booked a tour to Turkey for the period from September 9 to September 19. At the conclusion of the contract, I was a little embarrassed by the lack of penalties for refusing to tour. An employee of the agency on this occasion told me that if I cancel the tour for more than a month, then 5,000 rubles will be withheld, if in 3 weeks, then 25%, if in 2 weeks, then 50%, and if this happens in one week, then 75%. In terms of the size of the penalty, it’s about the same as for everyone, the only difference is that for everyone it is prescribed in the contract, but here it’s all in words. Further - more interesting.
On August 6, the first information appeared in the media about the beginning of the epidemic of the Coxsackie virus in the Republic of Turkey. A couple of days later, the number of sick tourists reached 500 people, and children were most susceptible to infection. Not living to risk the health of my child and wife, I telephoned an employee of the Travel Bureau and said that I would like to cancel the tour. To which I was told that there would be a fine of 133 dollars, and after 5 minutes the fine increased to 155 dollars in a strange way. When I asked how it is calculated and how it is determined, an employee of the Travel Bureau said that the fine is assigned by the operator. The agency offered me to postpone the cancellation of the tour: the amount of the fine will not change if I refuse 10 days before departure. My offer to put it on paper was politely refused.
On August 11, an official message from the Federal Tourism Agency “On the presence of a threat to the safety of the health of tourists in the Republic of Turkey” appeared, according to which, upon termination of the contract, the cost of the tour is returned in full. On August 14, the money was returned to me minus 9,500 rubles withheld as a fine. When I asked about the instructions of the Federal Tourism Agency, they answered that they know about it, but the fines will continue to be withheld, they can only be returned through the courts.
This is how Travel Bureau LLC works. I recommend everyone to think twice before going there. Enticing with low prices and beautiful advertising, employees of the Travel Bureau, in order to get momentary profit, build a business on lies and gullibility of consumers, sending all problems to the court to solve. The instructions of the regulator of the tourist business do not apply to them.
