We express our deep gratitude and gratitude to Oleg Artemyuk for the brilliant tour of the French provinces. We were struck by your erudition and extraordinary performance for two weeks. It was work with tourists "24 hours a day".
We liked everything. And wonderful and informative tours of cities and towns. And wonderful stories “about different things”: about historical periods and important events in France, about outstanding French people, about the modern life of the townsfolk. Pleasant for us were several versions offered to choose from about a particular person or event. Choose which version suits you best by yourself. And even if they did not always coincide, Oleg, with yours, but - that's why they are versions. Let's add that our preliminary "home-made preparations": what to see in which towns, turned out to be 100% or more completed with your help. And there is nothing to add to this.
We only regret that we did not have enough time to visit museums.
The gastronomic advice was also excellent: in which city to taste what. We admit that all the advice was excellent, and French cuisine, as it is, turned out to be on top. Independent gastronomic solutions, for some reason, came out "sideways". And about wine, you can thank for a long time and a lot. Therefore, briefly: how good and varied French wines are!
Moderately metered and "on topic" movies and musical breaks were a nice addition. Special thanks - for an excursion into modern literature. At present, we are already starting to master F. Begbeder.
But tourists are not enough. It remains to be regretted that there was not enough time in the evening to sit with a glass of Alsatian white on the banks of the canal in Colmar. And the tapestries of the "Apocalypse" were not examined in the castle in Angers. Another day to visit the Cote d'Azur and walk proudly along the Croisette in Cannes!
And in the Loire Valley it would be nice to linger and see additional castles, at least - Villandry. Although, perhaps, at the end of September, the vegetables in the garden were harvested, and the cabbage was pickled? Somehow it was a shame from Rouen, having examined the cathedral, not to stop on the way to Paris, to Claude Monet in Giverny. And "one eye" look at the house and garden. But in this case, as with Villandry, in September you will no longer see water lilies or irises. But still, sorry.
Somehow we did not meet street musicians on the way. Probably, the French with the accordion “stood in the wrong place and at the wrong time” when we traveled through France.
It is clear that the above "sorry" pull on at least a month's journey through the French provinces. And a month won't be enough. And longer term.
Oleg, we thank you again for a wonderful vacation.
