There is an opportunity (time and money), why not change the scenery and relax on the weekends. I said to myself and started looking for a weekend tour. KoloKray was not the first, but not the last on my list either. I wanted to visit the "Granite Switzerland of Volyn" (Korostyshev and Radomyshl).
Firstly, it is in the Zhytomyr region. and what does Volyn have to do with it?! I do not know. It gets dark early in autumn, but the organizers did not take this into account. Therefore, the total collection and the start of the trip should have been changed to an earlier one, and not at 9 am !!! For more than half an hour we were expecting ONE latecomer, but they never did... Imagine our general mood when all 47 people are waiting for the 48th! The bus is not prepared for the start of the trip, garbage is everywhere, in the glove compartments and on the shelves, bottles under the seats, stains on the upholstery - that's half the battle.
Arrival in Korostyshiv and waiting for the guide - the epic continues. I really wanted to know why we have to travel around the city up and down for about an hour in search of a meeting place with a guide, which you can’t even get through to, and hear what he says even more so. Here is the result - at the pace of a light gallop, without stopping in the most pleasant places, RUNING past Olizarova Park and the Church of St. Mary, we found ourselves on a bridge over the Teterev River (the first bridge built on granite piles), which recently collapsed on Easter. And this is what I went for?.. The quarries are very beautiful, but half an hour is not enough to admire them and have a light snack in nature.
Secondly, we didn’t really see either Korostyshev or Radomysl, and this is very disappointing, because these are amazing cities ... The final chord of our trip was Radomysl Castle. We were warned that the entrance to the castle is free, but the home icon museum costs an additional 40 UAH. Guys, do not be fooled, because the castle is a museum.
There are conscious people who paid for the entrance to the territory (about 10-15 people), and all the rest "manali for it" and entered along with everyone else. I will say right away that I received great pleasure, I do not mind paying such a meager amount, but I did not notice that the guide was paying the museum staff for those who paid for the entrance. I suspect the money is gone...
Forget about the Sculpture Park and the Collection of military maps and rarities of the Cossack time, because we finished our tour of the castle at 17-30 and we were herded into the bus...
Print out a program for yourself and carry it with you, because when you are impressed by what you see and fatigue takes its toll, you don’t wonder why we weren’t there, there and here ...
Expenses: total cost 260 UAH. (it is possible to agree on discounts)+40 UAH. (not obligatory to pay) + up to 100 UAH. (for personal expenses)=400 UAH. (travel costs).
I fully subscribe to the comments above about the excursion to Korostyshev and Radomyshl. We were lucky (August 24) the bus was clean and air-conditioned, but neither the guide nor the driver, unfortunately, knew how to get to most of the objects indicated in the tour program. Some objects got from the third arrival or call having previously interviewed local residents. I would especially like to note the strong pollution of the places visited by the household waste of the local population. An excursion to Korostyshev is better called "Inspection of Korostyshev's spontaneous dumps." I would like to recommend to the leaders of the company, before taking people on tours, personally drive through and pass the proposed routes and negotiate with local authorities to keep these places clean. Important - to visit a civilized toilet is offered only once at about 11-00. Until the end of the day, you decide the issue yourself in the forest. Special thanks to the enthusiasts of their business - the guide and the driver, whose sense of humor and optimism made it possible to still enjoy this trip.
In order for this tour to be interesting, it is necessary to start from Radomyshl - a tour of the museum and lunch in the castle, and finish with Korostyshev.
Полностью присоединяюсь к комментариям выше об экскурсии в Коростышев и Радомышль. Нам повезло (24 августа) автобус был чистый и с кондиционером, но ни экскурсовод ни водитель к сожалению не знали проезда/прохода к большей части объектов указанных в программе тура. На некоторые объекты попадали с третьего заезда или захода опросив предварительно местных жителей. Особо хочется отметить сильную загрязненность посещаемых мест бытовыми отходами местного населения. Экскурсию в Коростышев лучше назвать "Осмотр стихийных свалок Коростышева". Хочу порекомендовать руководителям фирмы, прежде чем возить людей в туры самим лично проезжать и проходить предлагаемые маршруты и договариваться с местными властями о поддержке этих мест в чистоте. Важно - посетить цивилизованный туалет предлагается только один раз примерно в 11-00. До конца дня решаете вопрос сами в лесу. Отдельное спасибо энтузиастам своего дела - экскурсоводу и водителю, чувство юмора и оптимизма которых позволили все таки получить удовольствие от этой поездки.
Что бы этот тур был интересен начинать надо с Радомышля - осмотр музея и обед в замке, а заканчивать Коростышевым.
