I'll tell you our terrible story related to the purchase of a tour in the Moscow travel agency "My Planet"! It all started great, we were going to have a rest for the New Year holidays, a large company of 4 adults and 7 children (children are all with a range of ages from 1 to 11), it was not easy to choose a tour, it was necessary to please all the wishes and requirements. And here: Sharm El Sheikh, 5 *, first coastline, 11 nights, regular flights, there in the morning, back in the evening - almost a full 12 days. We paid immediately for everyone and all 100%, it was 3 weeks before date X. On New Year's holidays, another adult decided to join us. For normal and experienced travel agents, this is no problem. But in our case, this allegedly led to the "cancellation" of the entire tour, the entire company of 11 people. And we found out about it two days before departure!!!
There is no end to find, who clicked in the wrong place, who did what wrong, the fact remains: our plane tickets, in some miraculous way, turn out to be, as we were told, in the public domain, after an hour there is not a single ticket left !!! And the managers sit, watch and think: "Oh wow, tickets appeared???quot;. The tour was organized for us by Julia Dolya, booked and went to rest on NG. Her colleague Tatyana (I don't know her surname, but the dialect is specific) "helped" us. Trying to find out the circumstances of the "cancellation" of the tour, I could not clearly answer and explain anything, such as: an accidental failure in the system, those support does not work on holidays, partners do not work, no one answers, no one is to blame, it happened !!! No apologies, just an impudent tone, they say, what do you want from me? ... We select other tours for you! ... Yes, only the tours are not the same, and not there, and for the wrong number of days, for the same money or pay extra!
True, in case of not choosing a tour, they promised to return the money, and that’s another big question .... So, the suitcases are packed, the money is given, the children are set, applications for vacations are written, what should I do? Go where it turns out, and not where you planned! Bottom line (for the same money): 4 days later, lower star rating! 4*, 3rd coastline!, number of days reduced, departure-arrival morning is not early, and this despite the fact that we are already flying against the current, the day before the start of work after the holidays! About the spent nerve cells, I am silent ...
Having touched on this situation, they began to look at reviews on the Internet, it was necessary to do this, of course, before! but the New Year's Eve running around and the anticipation of the vacation overshadowed our minds ((("Accidental cancellation" of the tour, for this company is not new! Based on what they told us, how the managers were confused in the testimony, some ladies named Anastasia and Anna answered all the time, that Julia is "on the tube" or "came out", I draw the following conclusions!
If you've booked a good tour (and it's obviously a good one for you since you've chosen it) and someone else who's willing to pay more will like it, your tour will "accidentally get cancelled"! The calculation is that you are psychologically, anyway, set to rest and go anywhere, and then "My Planet" will work twice, or even three times! First on the commission that is included in your tour, then on the difference from the resale of your tour, then on the difference from your new tour, which is getting shorter and easier...
Why are you sure it's "accidental"? Because, even on purpose, canceling a tour is not easy! And then by chance, he was on the reservation for 2.5 weeks, and suddenly, two days before departure, without penalties, he simply disappeared, burst like a soap bubble!
So, guys, don’t be fooled by low prices, promises, it’s better a little more expensive, but definitely cheaper and it’s not clear how!
