For five days, from October 31, my wife and I were in Lipetsk. Based on a preliminary search on the Internet, we found out that the most interesting excursions in the Lipetsk region during this period are organized by the MariNika travel agency.
31.10 were on excursions in Dankovo and the surrounding estates with visits to churches and temples, incl. works by Bazhenov and Rastrelli. The next day, at our request, an individual excursion to Zadonsk and Yelets was organized, during which we visited not only monasteries and temples, but also museums of Bunin, Khrennikov, lace, crafts. Both excursions were very informative and varied, it makes no sense to briefly talk about them, we recommend that you see everything with your own eyes. You will not regret!
We bought a very interesting and informative book about Khrennikov in the ZhZL series at the Khrennikov Museum. We highly recommend reading!
From MariNika we were accompanied by erudite guides Viktor Anatolyevich (in Dankovo) and Igor (Zadonsk and Yelets). Both days we had a wonderful driver Sergey on a mini-van Mercedes.
In addition to our pleasant impressions from this short stay, we bought two beautifully published, professionally and lovingly written, richly illustrated books from the series “Temples and Monasteries of the Lipetsk and Yelets Diocese”. If you go with an excursion from NicaTour, I recommend that you read the books from this series and maybe buy them. But keep in mind that they are very heavy, because. published exclusively.
