Holiday ruined - whose fault?

Let's start with the good. For a long time I received a mailing list from this travel agency, closer to the summer I took it as a sign, deciding to use its services.

A very nice girl manager Anna Trofimova, extremely sane, it doesn’t even look like Kharkiv. She picked everything up, explained, discussed with us all the nuances, called back many times to confirm the date and time of departure, the availability of rooms in the hotel, in general, well done, no complaints.

But the trip itself was not as pleasant as its expectation. The information allegedly provided by the tour operator (by the way, Tez-Tour) to the travel agency "Come with us" did not correspond to reality. It was about a distance of 50 m from the sea, it turned out that the sea is all 1.5 kilometers away, and the sea, to be honest, is ankle-deep. Well, this is a mockery - to go to the sea as far as Egypt, but there is NO SEA !!!

Moreover, I initially emphasized in the travel agency that I was calm about excursions, I needed an ordinary human vacation on the beach with my spouse.

The hotel (booked by me) is not 4 stars, but mediocre 3, but VERY mediocre.

Then all the fun began. Because there is no sea, then the tour operator Tez-Tour (being a monopolist in this hotel) offers its services very intrusively, with or without reason, trying to sell something at exorbitant prices on every excursion, treating tourists like a stupid herd. They are not even shy about what they swear. The absence of an alternative is a little upsetting, at least, because there is no sea there, somehow I didn’t want to sit in a hotel for such money, I had to book a lot of excursions. Moreover, at the very first briefing, the representative of Tez-Tour said: "As you already know, there is no sea as such here ..." Damn it!!! Did everyone know that there is no sea there? So everyone was informed? And whose fault is this - the travel agency "Let's go with us" or the tour operator himself, who allegedly did not sufficiently inform the travel agency? If I didn’t know that there is a practice in travel agencies to send managers to familiarize themselves with the conditions of the hotel itself, the beach, the area, then I would have made allowances for the fact that “Come with us” did not know about such a situation with the sea.

What do we end up with? Instead of the originally planned amount, 700 more dollars were spent to save the vacation at least a little.

Regarding the fact that I could double-check the information, as some "tour experts" and smart people have already written to me on this matter. If information is given to me in the contract, where “50 meters from the sea” is written in black and white, then from the point of view of the law they are OBLIGED to provide exactly such conditions, otherwise it is fraud. Therefore, "punching" on forms, as it really is, is a thankless task. Moreover, someone could and will like the trip, for example, if it was presented to a person, for example. I'm just overwhelmed by such a summer vacation, and have already made conclusions for myself as a tour operator, travel agency, the hotel in which I was, as well as Egypt as a whole.

By the way, after the trip, the manager Anna called me back to ask if I liked it. She, poor thing, did not even expect that such an avalanche of claims would fall on her from my side. I sincerely believe that she has nothing to do with it.

More terrible tour than "Magnificent Italy" (from April 27 to May 4), in which I had to get by the will of fate, I did not have! The scariest memories for your own money! On March 28, 2013, I signed with the tour operator "1000 Roads Ukraine" through the travel agency "Come with us" (Kharkiv) for the tour "Magnificent Italy", paying 3466 UAH for travel services. As a result, already sitting on the bus (flight No. 80), I received an information sheet and information about the hotels in which we will be staying from the tour company "DAV CLUB". The leader was from "DAV CLUB". Who wants a "stress" tour for their money - go ahead to this company, under the leadership of the "first guy in the village" named Yuri! This "leader" lacks all the necessary qualities of a manager: the lack of organizational qualities, a minimum cultural level, ingenuity, and even an understanding of the fact that he lacks all this. I'm not even talking about absolute ignorance about the countries where the journey took place. Rare comments were something like this: "Now you will see amazing things that you have never seen" - this is about sweets in the form of worms and turtles ..
He did not warn about upcoming stops, did not control the landing, during the week of coexistence he did not remember anyone, each time as in a comedy about a patient with deep atherosclerosis: "Who are you???"
When we returned, already in Lviv, he left the group at a gas station for an hour and a half without a single explanation, and when he returned, he answered: "Do you need it?" Amazing rudeness combined with incompetence! If this person takes tours in Scandinavia (as he mentioned), it's a pity for the tourists who get to him.
In Kyiv, until the moment of boarding the bus, it was not known about the seat number. The bus turned out to be unprepared, and in the summer heat of about 30 degrees, the air conditioner did not work, it was repaired only in Lviv, delaying the departure from 19 to 23 hours.
In Budapest, the evening trip to the boat failed not only because of being late, but, it turns out, because we need to leave Budapest for the hotel earlier, because it takes 4 hours to go there (whereas the boat was present in the tour description and quite “fitted into the schedule of this days) This means only one thing - "savings" at our expense, but not in our pocket, because the cost of a hotel in Budapest and a transit hotel 4 hours from Budapest is obvious. "Budget" package - it's true!! "Breakfasts are probably like those of convicts abroad: a transparent piece of sausage, the same cheese - also savings! How much you need to lay down for food so that the host party tries to cut these foodstuffs so thinly! "Budget" trip - it's true !!! !Hotels were at a great distance from the cities of destination, so 4-5-6 hours of daytime was spent on what to get.Further - an excursion -1.5 hours, 2 hours of free time (which we tried constantly shorten) and again until the next hotel 5-6 hours, arrived late.
A fundamental question arises: who is responsible for the spoiled trip? What firm? And what right does the company "1000 Roads", with which the contract is concluded, to send it with another company without notifying the client? By the way, the sequence and content of the tours has been changed compared to the information on the site. Yes, there is a clause in the contract about the possibility of changes, but not the exclusion of excursions without a full replacement. And in that tour there was no boat on the Danube and an excursion to the lake without any replacement. The subject of litigation by and large. I had a very bad impression of this trip: hack and irresponsible at best!

And when you went to Egypt, didn’t you check the coordinates and the website of the hotel itself on any site???? Where is it located, reviews on other sites ?? Do not you think that this is your shortcomings. Don't blame the manager.

I don’t know, everything was just super with us :) I want to express my deep gratitude to Ekaterina Karnaushenko. We flew with a friend to Egypt and were completely delighted with the trip. Ekaterina is a very pleasant person and a professional in her field. She picked up a ticket for us according to our desires) (we fooled her head well)) We were in Hurghada at the Hilton Hurghada Long Beach Resort. The hotel is very good, tasty food, cheerful animators and very friendly, polite and pleasant staff. Sunset in the sea is good (slippers were not needed) We took excursions to the city and diving. The rooms were cleaned every day and nothing was lost. We were impressed. we will also take through Katya)
