trip to St. Petersburg

I think that the trip to St. Petersburg itself would have left a lot of pleasant impressions if not for some "buts ..." of an organizational plan.

Firstly, when we paid for the tour, we were told that it would be a comfortable bus (after all, the road is not near 25 hours), as it turned out, it was some kind of sieve on wheels (its number is 655), it went from Moscow to St. Petersburg itself rain, after it started, the bus immediately began to flow, so it was "very pleasant" to drive half way in such "comfortable" conditions. Turning to the head of the group, Elena Dmitrievna, to solve this problem, they received an answer: all questions were for the drivers, the drivers replied that they could not do anything.

In addition to the fact that everything poured from above, at least open the umbrella, it was also terribly cold at night, as it turned out, the hatches were closed incorrectly and the air conditioner was not turned off, the drivers decided to show "who is the boss in the house", because it was stuffy and asked to turn on the air conditioner, which was the answer then do not ask to turn it off will be -16, apparently this temperature was, if not lower. The question arises why the head of the group is traveling with us, which does not solve any problems, but sends it to the drivers, then to the guide, etc. the answer to you is only a mockery in the face and sarcastic jokes.

Secondly, accommodation.

In principle, there are no complaints about the departmental university hotel, the rooms are clean, with good furniture, towels, but 2 + 2 accommodation is a constant queue for the shower and getting up at 6 in the morning to have time to brush your teeth first, with such a busy schedule of excursions when you want extra 15 min. to lie down. Breakfast at the hotel is a separate issue altogether, and I think that the organizers should have warned about this so that people can take care of what they will have for breakfast, given that dinners were at 5-6 pm, and there was no time even to drink tea between excursions.

Thirdly, the program of the tour. Of course, the program is very busy and this is a plus, but I think that it was not worth swapping what was planned, because.

we got to Peterhof when it was raining, respectively, when you are cold and wet, no beauty will please you, although there should have been a sightseeing tour on the bus that day, so for the future, dear organizers, look at the weather forecast before changing the tour program. And it was possible to devote less time to Gatchina and more to the Pavlovsk Palace with its beautiful garden, which we did not have time to see. And also warn in advance about an additional excursion to Kranstadt and that whoever does not want to go there will get from Peterhof to the hotel himself, although the tour program said that all transfers were included.

In general, you won’t go far with such an organization, and this trip for me personally was the first and last with the Expo Tour company.
