Pegasus is a good tour operator

I like Pegasus as a tour operator. The prices may be a bit higher, but the service is top notch. I remember how we went to Egypt at the end of February 2010. One of our goals was to visit a number of places with excursions that we did not get to other times for various reasons. And just Pegasus had suitable excursions.

The monastery of St. Catherine, for example, is a wonderful place, very spiritual. So unusual in the Arab world, where even in Sharm mullahs sing in the morning, to see a Christian monastery. And so ancient too. The guides at Pegasus are great, we had Ibragim, he stammered a little, speaking Russian, but he spoke very smartly in English, if he was asked. I learned Russian to my level in 3 months. We were simply amazed. And it was clear that he was a prepared person. He knows a lot about Christian customs, although he himself is a Muslim.

Mount Moses is simply beyond any competition.

We have been to various ancient places in both Turkey and Greece, but Mount Moses is something special. And an excursion organized at dawn to meet the dawn is simply magical. Although this is a tradition, no one knows where the real Sinai is located. But all the same, here you can feel the antiquity and energy of these places in a special way. After all, pilgrims have been coming here for hundreds of years.

Such are the contrasts in Egypt. Among the Muslims, who are not at all as rabid as some people imagine them to be, Christians live and no one interferes with them. We are very imbued with the spirit of this country. And yet they have not discovered even a small fraction. We also have far-reaching plans for a new visit to the pyramids and Luxor and much more. Of course, there is no possibility now, but I don’t want to believe that we can lose such a beautiful and unusual country for ourselves.
