What prompted me to write: when I was going on this tour, I was looking for reviews for a long time. It was not possible to collect information of interest to me from eyewitnesses.
Maybe my impressions will be useful to someone. Moreover, it is not so easy to leave a review on the website of the Atlas company itself. No, there is a page with reviews on the site, but there is no way to post a review yourself. This suggests that executives are selective when it comes to posting reviews. On the forums about the company, I read a lot of complaints. Well, people write more often when they are not happy with something. And I have complaints about the travel agency. This concerns the organization, but there are also good words. And this applies to an interesting program and a professional guide.
Thoughts about the future and memories of the past vacation prompted me to write these lines.
Bright unforgettable impressions left an autumn trip to France.
A kaleidoscope of cities: from Strasbourg to the Cote d'Azur, from the Atlantic to Paris, and all this is the author's tour "French Around the World" with Oleg Artemyuk.
The author's program is interesting, rich, and at the same time, devoid of very long tiring bus journeys.
A magnificent combination of beautiful landscapes, exquisite French cuisine, diverse architecture - from Romanesque to Gothic and Renaissance, from Renaissance to Classicism and Eclecticism.
And all this helped us to see, feel, perceive and assimilate our guide Oleg Artemyuk.
I want to note the highest professionalism, deep knowledge of the subject. His stories on the history and architecture of France fit well into the format of university lectures.
Magnificent language, a talent for storytelling - and all this combined with complete dedication to his beloved work and the desire to share his knowledge with you, to show you as many beautiful and amazing corners as possible. And this is all the more valuable, since such an attitude is a rarity in our time.
It should be noted Oleg's professionalism in relations with the group, and on our trip the team was almost female.
Punctuality, structuredness, the ability to evenly, even somewhat detachedly, like a man, not emotionally, lead a group. The ability not to follow the lead of individuals. And, at the same time, Oleg very carefully and sensitively responded to the requests and wishes of each of us.
I am sure that I am expressing not only my opinion, but also the opinion of that part of the group that had the courage to overcome the “French round the world” with Oleg from beginning to end.
Thank you, Oleg.
In the new season, I look forward to your new programs and exciting travels. And I hope that on my next trip I will be lucky again, and I will again come to you at the airport. I am sure that I am not alone in this desire.
Now about the organization of the trip:
In some cities along the route, the hotels where we stayed overnight looked more like motels; far from 3 stars: very modest budget, unkempt, dilapidated rooms, poor breakfasts.
There is also a complaint about the provided bus. In Germany, we were met by a battered old man with Baltic license plates. We must pay tribute to the team of drivers: they were at their best, and, despite the fact that by the end of the route the bus had to be pushed to start, there were no failures along the route. But the fact that the air conditioning system in the bus can not cope with the load, we realized on the Cote d'Azur, when the temperature outside rose to 25 degrees.
At that time, the atmosphere inside the bus was clearly tense and far from comfortable. We were lucky that during our trip France was covered by a cold snap, otherwise it would have been very difficult for us to move.
And now I address a few wishes to the management of the Atlas company with a secret hope that one of the leaders will listen to the voice of a potential client.
The ATLAS company is favorably distinguished from many other competitors by the fact that it has such professional staff as Oleg Artemyuk, Vladimir Mamro, Olga Andreevna Smirnova, Dmitry Svarovsky (I think there are other names).
It is all the more strange that the company's website does not have a page with information about people working in the company: managers, guides.
In this regard, I have a wish to the administration: to eliminate this injustice and create a page on the site where photos will be posted, short information about the guide, in what directions he works, reviews about him.
Good luck and more interesting author's tours!
