In April, I had the imprudence to apply to the travel agency Tour Light (LLC "TK Tour Light", St. Petersburg) and book a tour to Turkey for early booking. Made a deposit and waited for confirmation. Three days later, they called, said that the tour operator confirmed the hotel and invited them to pay the rest of the funds. I fully paid for the tour and began to wait for the vacation in full confidence that everything was in order.
However, two weeks before departure, I received a call from Tour Light and was taken aback that I was not flying anywhere, since the tour operator had not actually confirmed the hotel. They tried to convince me that it was the fault of the tour operator, who allegedly first confirmed, and then removed the confirmation. As a result, I was offered either to rest less days for the same money, or to make a significant surcharge for the same tour.
I called the tour operator, they said that Tour Light was refused immediately, even before they took the rest of the money from me.
After that, Tour Light admitted that this was indeed their mistake, that they really got rejected right away, but decided to take money from me and spin it. At the same time, they continued to insist that I should either pay extra or agree to a smaller number of days of rest. They flatly refused to fulfill the contract in the form in which it was signed.
As a result, I turned to another travel agency, where they easily sold the same tour to me, more expensive than in the contract with Tour Light (early booking had ended by that time, and prices had gone up), but still it turned out to be cheaper than paying Tour Light extra.
Tour Light ignored my written claim, so I had to contact the prosecutor's office and Rospotrebnadzor, and also start preparing a statement of claim in court. Let's see how this case ends.
I'm writing here to warn you about this happening.
Well, advise against contacting this Tour Light, unless, of course, you want to suddenly find out shortly before departure that the travel agency has not booked any tour for you, but simply twisted your money.
