rested in Egypt (Hurghada) in October 2010. Tour operator - Pegasus. There were no problems with obtaining documents, flights, transfers. We arrived at the hotel (Golden Fife Paradise, supposedly 5 stars), settled disgustingly. We were given a super-room 477 with a 3 (!) year old child (as it turned out later, for the attendants): dead dusty furniture without handles, there weren’t even shelves in the closet, let alone a crossbar where you can hang clothes, in the bedside tables fat African cockroaches crawled in the boxes, the ceiling tiles were very different, fell off in places, the dirtiest, there was a persistent smell of sewerage in the room ... we went into the "bathroom" and ... completely pipets.
The toilet seat was broken in half, instead of a bath there was a rusty tray, the shower did not work at all, on the floor in the middle of a very narrow passage there was some kind of sewer hole with a lid, which either did not fit this hole in size, or it was impossible to screw it on, in general , not like a child, an adult could easily dislocate his leg ... well, the final touch is the lack of a window, not to mention a balcony ... for all this charm we paid 2 thousand dollars for one adult and a 3-year-old child . What do you think helped us in this situation? wild hysteria, my crocodile tears at the reception ... and a miracle! a wonderful Russian girl Maria apologized to us (who, as it were, works in public relations in this hotel). it turns out that we were "forgotten" to warn that this room is only for one night, as the hotel is full, and then everything would be fine.
in general, the next day we went up to the “main” 4 more times, pitifully and ingratiatingly looked into his most beautiful Arabic (or Turkish, I didn’t even really understand, to be honest) “sympathetic-mocking” eyes, and after another hour and a half we were moved to the room, which was described so colorfully and wonderfully in the brochure of a 5-star hotel. with all the necessary amenities and even luxury items :) in the form of a safe, a refrigerator, a hairdryer, a balcony with a good view and a lid screwed to the sewer hole. SUPER!!!!! didn't even have to pay extra! however, one cant still remained: there was no hot water !!!! (because all the Russians who didn’t pay extra when checking in don’t have it) thus, they stole the full first day of paid rest from us, because how to relax if such garbage with a number !? but in general, I was crazy about the position of the hotel guide in this situation.
no participation, no advocacy of the interests of their clients, even just to raise their eyes when a person came with a problem...?????. only selling excursions and that's it. Well, after all, comrades, Russian-speaking hotel guides, you are also from Russia !!!!! I understand that other foreigners are cooler than Russians, but it’s like we are people too. in general, because of the attitude of the hotel guide, I don’t want to rest through a horse with wings anymore ....
