Last summer, I went with my girlfriends on a weekend cruise on Ladoga.
The ship was chosen with the intriguing name "Karl Marx")))
Or rather, they didn’t choose it themselves, but they advised us in a travel agency, they said that he had recently been working in St. Petersburg.
The route turned out to be not quite usual: to Pellotsari and Valaam in mid-August. What are these mysterious Pellotsari, we did not know)). It turned out that this is an island.
In short, they decided ... And they did not regret it.
We have a friendly company, four girls, we wanted to go all together, but with comfort, so that at least there was a shower in the room. On the "Marx" we found just what suited us.
Our cabin was downstairs, where the round portholes were. Was very spacious. Number 113.
In general, it is triple: two beds downstairs, one upstairs. But we were also given a "Euro-folding bed" - again a new word)). It turned out - this is a great folding bed with a thick mattress - we even argued a bit about who gets it))).
It is comfortable, it can be folded during the day, i.e. does not interfere with the passage.
The sun block is large, there is a shower. It was nice to find a hair dryer in the cabin, although we also took with us.
What else was in the room: a small refrigerator, TV. Everything is working. I liked the cabin, the wood trim looks good.
Yes, it was nice to find free souvenirs in the cabin))
They fed decently, they were satisfied.
In the evenings, there were discos at the Marx, we danced a little))
There is also a good bar there.
In general, everything is well organized on the ship: the table number in the restaurant was told to us immediately upon boarding, our group for the excursion was also announced. Then, by loudspeaker, they were invited to a restaurant and on an excursion when they were on Valaam.
And after landing, right in the cabin, we found a leaflet with information about the route and parking.
Yes, by the way, about parking.
First there was this mysterious island. We spent three hours there. Nothing special, of course, just an island in the lake.
The views are beautiful, there are many such islands. There is a fairly neatly made hiking trail, with information, all sorts of signs. Don't get lost. In an hour and a half, you can go through it entirely. Well, we took a walk after breakfast. Breathe in fresh air. By the way, there is a beach on the island, however, we were not ready to swim in August, and we didn’t take swimsuits))).
They also offer to ride around the island in motor boats, but we did not go.
And on Valaam there was a walking tour to the monastery. Only the pier is far from the monastery, so we went by boat back and forth. You can still walk, but it's 7 kilometers one way, it's good that they warned us, otherwise we were already tired of walking))
In general, we liked the "Karl Marx"!
I would like to go somewhere else, while we are thinking about Kizhi for next summer.
