December 21-22 I visited Christmas Riga! I haven’t been to Riga for 15 years, I’m very glad that I finally arrived. I liked everything very much, our guide took us through the courtyards and back streets of the old city, showed us a cool cellar near the Powder Tower, where we later tasted beer together in the evening from different parts of Latvia, dined in a large LIDO complex with a mill, there was a real holiday: "penguins" they played bass guitars, the Latvian choir, dressed in costumes of squirrel hares, sang something cheerfully, it’s a pity we didn’t understand what, everything around was decorated with luminous sculptures of roe deer, deer, angels, etc. and the food was great and cheap! The next day we went to Sigulda, looked at the castles, walking, however, under such good rain in December. But still beautiful.
Many thanks to the company for a nice minibus (we had a small group), a good hotel near old Riga, I decided to stay in it for myself if I come again, for excursions - interesting, with humor and with all sorts of useful information. Excellent driver Alex, just the soul of the company. In general, I will ride with you guys, you are the best!
