Fourthtour is an unscrupulous operator that violates contractual relations and humiliates its customers. February 2011 we vacationed in Cuba, Varadero via Fourthtour. When checking in at the reception, we were told that our room was not paid for, and if we want to be settled, we must pay $ 250, or sleep on the street. It is difficult to describe what emotions we experienced at that moment. Having paid for the tour in advance for 2 months for a lot of money, having flown 16.5 hours from Siberia, and living for a year in anticipation of a vacation, we became victims of scammers. We contacted our travel agency in Moscow, it turned out that they paid everything on time, and it was Fourthtour who did not transfer the money. Our travel agency, being a trusted and reliable company through which we have been flying for years, promised to find out everything. We had no choice but to pay $ 250 and settle in a room. The uncertainty was terrifying.

The nightmare lasted a week, lengthy telephone conversations with Moscow, crazy money spent on roaming, nerves and stress, when once again we were told at the reception that payment had not yet been received and another $250 had to be paid. Fourthtour acted like typical scammers, convinced our travel agency that everything was paid for, brazenly lied that it was a problem with the bank, showed fake money transfer receipts to representatives of our travel agency. The latter believed them, and asked to wait another day. It got to the point that a representative of our travel agency went to the Fourthtour office in Moscow and called us, we personally spoke with the director of Fourthtour, who promised to solve everything immediately. When, finally, our travel agency realized that the Fourthtour tour operator was lying and was not going to pay, they contacted the hotel, agreed that they would touch us and not shake the money.

As a result, the money paid additionally was returned to us, but it was no longer possible to return the “stolen” days of vacation, mood, and nerves. The saddest thing is that in Cuba there are many of the same deceived tourists in all hotels using Fourthtour services. I wonder what would happen to us if we did not have money with us? It is outrageous that the hotel management knows perfectly well that Fourthtour either does not pay or delays payment, and yet they continue to work with them, forcing tourists to pay, putting them in conditions where there is no other way out. What is the fault of tourists, who instead of rest receive a lot of negative emotions and disappointment? And Fourthtour continues to thrive? There is no strength and extra money for litigation with Fourthtour, and we are different from the civilized West, where payment for moral damages is a common practice.
