For the first time in my life I took a tour from Intourist. Attractive price, four days in Istanbul. When checking into the hotel, it turned out that a WhatsApp was needed to communicate with the hotel guide. I don't have WhatsApp, I don't use it. But if I had been warned when buying a tour, I would have installed it. Luckily, my companion got the WhatsApp and we were able to arrange a meeting with the hotel guide. She did not answer a single question about the location of the nearest exchange offices, transport stops, etc., saying that she was recently in Istanbul and did not know anything. When asked about the return transfer, she said that a day before departure, a message would be sent to WhatsApp. Alas ... but there were no messages on the eve of the departure. We called the guide, to which she replied that it is NOT THE OBLIGATION OF THE HOTEL GUIDE TO REPORT THE TRANSFER, and that we call the foreign tourist hotline to find out.
They could not get through to the hotline, they called the guide again, to which she replied - THE TRANSFER WILL BE 5 HOURS BEFORE DEPARTURE. On the day of departure in the morning, they called again and asked her to send information about the transfer via SMS, since the WhatsApp was connected only at the hotel reception. There was no SMS during the day, I had to return to the hotel 5 hours before departure, and there, having “caught” Wi-Fi, they saw that there were still two and a half hours before the transfer. Due to the unprofessional, boorish attitude of the guide, the last day of our stay in Istanbul was completely ruined. In addition, the girl - the accompanying guide during the transfer after arrival did not give any information about the country, saying that the hotel guide would answer all questions. At the entrance to the hotels, she, without getting off the bus, simply showed the direction where to go. The bus stopped a hundred meters from our hotel, and we still wandered in search of it.
The feeling that the guides are the first people from the street that came across and Intourist absolutely does not care about their clients.
