We rested with my husband and friends in Phuket from February 14 to February 27, 2011, we went with Pegasus for the first time. We were at The Kee resort & spa, I really liked the hotel, I can’t say a single bad word, everything was great, rating 9 out of 10. Well, except that the view from the balcony let us down (on the shacks of homeless-looking local residents), but we lived on 4- m floor, so if you don’t look down from the balcony, then there are only palm trees, mountains and blue sky ahead - beauty. But the representatives of Pegasus did not evoke such positive emotions. During the transfer from the airport to the hotel, a young man named Alexander gave brief information about the island and the customs of the locals, nothing new, but said that you don’t need to bargain with local sellers and tuk-tuk drivers, pay in full.
This seemed at least strange and, as it turned out later, not a true statement at all, because sellers of any trinkets (not to mention some serious purchases), and of course, tuk-tuk and taxi drivers wringed prices equal to their salary for a month, and then reduced the price tag to quite real sizes. With another representative of Pegasus in Phuket - Alexey, we met at the hotel the next day after arrival. He immediately stated that all excursions should be bought only from him and in no case on the street. As a result, my husband and I paid 23 thousand baht (read rubles) for 3 excursions (to the Fantasy Show; J. Bond and Phi Phi Islands; Semilan Islands). Our friends - two married couples - the same number. At the same time, the Fantasy Show, according to Alexei, is such an enchanting spectacle, especially the amusement park itself and dinner, that you can’t miss it all and 4400 for two is simply not the price.
As a result, it turned out that there is nothing to look at in the park - it all consists of shops with crazy prices for souvenirs, there is no entertainment except for a small zoo with albino animals. Dinner - the usual buffet like in a hotel, outside the park you could eat all this for 500 baht for two. The show itself is not bad, but nothing impressive, they told us the history of Thailand, the elephants came out a couple of times. There was no guide with our group in the park, only a Russian-speaking girl bought us all tickets and told us exactly where to go. Back themselves were looking for their bus and dispersed to hotels. About the excursion to the islands of J. Bond and Phi Phi: it took place a week after our arrival, Alexei did not appear at the hotel and there was no information about the excursion and how it would go.
The six of us booked a VIP tour, which cost a couple of hundred baht more each than the usual one, and differed in that we will go on a speedboat, where there will be no more than 10 people, a Russian-speaking guide, drinks and snacks. Early in the morning we were picked up from the hotel by a Thai driver in a minibus, who did not speak Russian. We were brought to the port from which we were to sail. It turned out that there was a Russian-speaking guide, but the guy was kind of lost, in my opinion he didn’t understand where he was. Our six names were not on his lists and he did not know about any VIP tour. We barely got through to Alexei, he explained that the excursion we planned had failed, the boats were not found suitable for us, so they would put us in another group, and the fact that we are not on the list of the group is nothing to worry about, but he warned us in advance couldn't (although he had all our cell phone numbers). As a result, we went on a boat in a group of 20 people.
There was a guide, but he was silent all the time. On the way back, he asked me to give the boat driver 20-50 baht, like, a tip. Excursion to Semilany is another story altogether. We took an excursion for 2 days, gave 10,700 from each pair. At the same time, Alexey told us that the excursion to Semilany should be left for the last days, because. the islands are paradise and if you go to them before other excursions, then everything else will no longer be interesting. We decided to go February 24-25 to leave one day for souvenir shopping and packing. Departure from the hotel was scheduled for 06.30 am on February 24, 2011, but at six o'clock in the evening on February 23, Alexei informs us that the tour is canceled, because. the host hotel in Semilany refused to provide a bungalow. Then, until 23:00 on the same day, Aleksey allegedly tried to solve the problem, so he could not call us back, because. he still has other clients and he also needs to resolve issues with them. In the end, it turned out that we were not going anywhere. 24.02.11
all day we tried to get our money back (after all, 11 thousand don’t lie on the road), because the cash was almost over and we couldn’t buy another excursion to Semilany, at least for 1 day, due to lack of money (but we really wanted to go). But Aleksey stubbornly hid, did not answer calls, did not appear at the hotel during the entire time of our stay there. I had to call the head office, only through Moscow this problem was solved and in the evening of 24.02.11. The representative of Pegasus brought the money, he did not explain the reasons for the incident. We still went to Semilany, bought an excursion at a local travel agency, for 2300 baht per person, though without a Russian guide, but we even liked it. We could communicate in English, and the Thai girl-guide gave a very interesting tour (unlike Pegasovsky's silent boy), literally like a real animator, mass entertainer. Semilans, of course, are paradise islands.
In general, everything ended well. We liked Phuket, we lived a minute walk from Bangla Road and five minutes from the Jung Ceylon shopping center, noisy, but very fun, and the hotel is quiet and beautiful. Of course, there are also disadvantages in all this Asian life and traditions, but for a change, you need to go there. A flight with the Pegasus airline "NordWind" from Phuket to Krasnoyarsk is a special story. We flew with this airline on a direct flight from Krasnoyarsk to Phuket and back. There, flight number 2475 was delayed for 4 hours, but the benefit was warned about the delay in advance. In general, I can’t say anything bad about the flight to Phuket, except that it was cold in the cabin before takeoff and during climb, but tolerable, given that we were dressed in winter. The blankets were given out after climbing, when it was already warm, but also good, because. flew at night. The food was good, the flight attendants worked professionally, the takeoff and landing were smooth.
But how we flew back - all the impressions cannot be expressed in words. Flight number 2476. It felt like flying with different airlines. The B-757-200 plane, full of passengers, it is clear that everyone with shopping bags shoved them in the cabin as best they could, but none of the stewardesses and two stewards did not try to streamline this. During takeoff, the cabin smelled of burnt wiring and some sort of smoke was coming out of the vents (or whatever they are called) located above the luggage racks. Maybe it was just steam or some kind of condensate, but none of the staff explained anything, so it was uncomfortable. It was so cold on the plane (considering that everyone was wearing summer clothes and it was +30 outside) that people could not stand it and, despite the prohibitions, right during takeoff, everyone got up and began to put on their winter clothes, some then besides, he was with the children and no one wanted to catch a cold after the vacation on the way home.
The flight attendants refused to give out blankets on takeoff, and then they gave out blankets and pillows only to passengers with children, there was not enough for anyone else. In general, the plane was in a terrible state. Even with my height of 165 cm and not a lot of weight, I could not sit normally, it was very crowded, and my knees massaged my back in front of the sitting woman. The chairs were broken, someone's seats fell through and people sat for 7 hours on some kind of iron frame covered with fabric, and not on a soft seat. The backs of the seats are skewed, some did not lean back, and some, on the contrary, did not rise to the upper position (like mine, for example. So the flight attendant came up to me three times and asked me to raise the back or tried to do it herself, but it was all useless). The pockets of the covers on the front seats were torn, dangling between the knees. They fed disgustingly, none of the passengers sitting next to me ate this muck.
And we were also lucky, my husband and I were sitting in the middle of the cabin, so the flight attendants, who rolled carts with food and drinks from the tail and from the nose, did not reach us and two rows of three seats on each side remained hungry or there were not enough drinks for them, we had to call the stewardesses and ask them to feed us, only then they began to run from one end of the cabin to the other and look for food, there was such a feeling that they did not count on our ranks. The flight attendants behaved in a boorish way, generally like small children, they were rude to passengers when they asked them for something or laughed at people when one of the passengers stated that he would complain and demanded a normal attitude.
The luggage shelves above the passengers' heads were constantly open, the stewardesses didn't care much, even during turbulence, none of the staff closed them, apparently this is a private matter for each passenger - if you don't want something to fall on your head, close the hatch yourself, even if it was not you who opened it, but one of the not sober passengers sitting in the next row. The smell from the toilet was constantly felt, which outraged many, the queues too - people were constantly standing in the aisle, which irritated the flight attendants very much. After landing, the air force commander said goodbye to everyone and all the staff disappeared somewhere, and the passengers stood in the plane for another 20 minutes and waited to be let out of the plane, they already wanted to start rocking the plane and smash everything in the cabin, but none of the crew didn't explain anything.
Well, the airport in Krasnoyarsk deserves a special discussion - this is a completely different story, you will not see such a mess anywhere - the attitude towards people is like cattle. In general, the impression of the airline is not the best, but people need to fly, and its employees must use it, knowing that only Pegasik and NordWind operate direct flights from Krasnoyarsk to Phuket. But it's better to fly with a landing in Bangkok, but just don't mess with Pegasus and not with NordWind.
In short, in the future we will do our best to no longer contact Pegasus and advise our friends to do so.
