At the end of February, my friend and I turned to the Labyrinth travel agency to find a city hotel in Rhodes under the "early booking" program. Frankly, we prepared a little for the visit by looking at the information about the proposed hotels on the travel agency's website and even made a selection of the ones we liked. We were met by a friendly girl, announced the required list of documents, explained the procedure for registration, informed about the terms of payment and the approximate date of issue of the finished documents ... By the method of exception, our choice fell on the hotel "Mitsis Petit Palais 4 *", we were satisfied with its location and reviews of it and the fact that it is in this hotel that an all-inclusive vacation is possible, we were also informed that the flight Moscow-Rhodes-Moscow is carried out by Aegean Airlines, after weighing all the pros and cons, we purchased a tour. On the appointed day, I called the "Labyrinth", they told me that the documents were ready and I could pick them up (4 days before departure)!
I was handed (after a little misunderstanding) tickets + passports with visas + voucher + insurance and wished me a good rest ... At the Rhodes airport, we were met by representatives of the host (LE GRAND) and, smiling, told us that we were going to ... hotel " Mitsis Faliraki Beach 4 * "... We did not even consider this hotel, because it is not within the city, and we planned a vacation in the city of Rhodes itself ... Frankly, we were very upset. We were put on a bus and taken to Faliraki, on the way the host girl, who accompanied the bus to the hotel, tongue-tiedly tried to give us information about Rhodes, its sights, flora and fauna (a story about suicidal goats and terrible female peacocks...) ... it would be better if she was silent ...
Arriving at the place, we found a very spectacular hotel, with comfortable rooms, a fairly spacious and well-groomed territory with a network of restaurants, bars, many pools, private access to the sandy beach (Mediterranean Sea) and very friendly staff ... and almost resigned to this turn of events ... The next morning, there was a meeting with a representative of LE GRAND at the hotel (a girl named Inna), on that very morning (and not in the "Labyrinth" on the day the contract was signed, and not on the day of payment, and not on the day of issuance of documents ( 4 days before departure) they explained to us the reason for our location in this particular hotel ... the hotel that we chose has not yet opened after repairs ... Thank you very much Inna for listening to us (and our mood was more than militant) and made every effort to move us to a city hotel!
Thanks to Inna, three days later we were already in "Mitsis Petit Palais 4 *", and, as planned, we were able to enjoy the old town, a walk to Symi Island, saw the confluence of two seas, etc. The island is very beautiful, the Rhodes fortress is admirable!!! It’s a pity that we didn’t have much time for all this beauty ... we didn’t want to fly away at all ... I hope that this is not the last visit to Rhodes!
