I would like to share my impressions of the Mouzenidis Travel operator. The overall rating is positive, but there are both pluses and minuses.
1) Before going to the office, I independently studied the company's website. The information is presented in sufficient detail, but I did not immediately understand the navigation. It is possible to see the price of the tour, but I am a person who needs to explain every point and comma, so I prefer personal contact. But the information on visas turned out to be very useful - you can immediately understand what is required of you. 2) I turned to one of the Moscow offices. The manager Janet worked with me. The choice of region and hotel took a lot of time. Almost all of my questions were answered quickly and completely. Several times I called somewhere to consult, it's better that way than to mislead the client. We stayed at the Aegean Melathron hotel in Chalkidiki.
They told me everything, calculated it, showed me photographs - I only had to hope that everything would be just like that. 3) There were no problems with the visa. Passports received at the appointed time 4) Wim air flight, 3 hours delay - found out already at the airport. Unpleasant, I would like to have been warned in advance. 5) In Thessaloniki, the airport is small, the passport service workers are sooo slow. 2 flights were queuing for only 3 windows - for a long time!!!! But customs cleared quickly. 6) We did not use the group transfer. We were escorted to our bus, which turned out to be a huge two-story building. After the delay in departure and the queue at the control, we didn’t want to wait and we took a taxi. I probably should have booked an individual transfer right away, but I wanted to save money. 7) The hotel completely suited us, everything was exactly as promised. The sea is wonderful, many flowers, the air is clean, the service is top notch. Liked the restaurant very much.
8) The operator's employees at the hotel are student interns, young girls. Friendly, polite, but the lack of experience, both in communicating with the client and in the possession of information, affects. Questions "outside the standard program with an asterisk" cause them a little stupor. We met with one of the managers of the company and some issues were resolved only through him. But in fairness, it must be said that the representatives at the hotel were always there and helped in resolving standard issues. 9) Excursions. We took mini - VIP excursions (small groups); the cost of such trips is more than that of group trips, but it's worth it. We were very lucky with the guides: Olympus and Meteora - Vasily (no words, we fell in love with him); Thessaloniki - Constantine (living encyclopedia). 10) We took care of the return transfer to the airport in advance and ordered a taxi for ourselves (through a tour operator).
Again there was a delay of 2 hours, but this time we were notified and were not taken to the airport ahead of time. Once again, as on arrival, I was convinced that the Thessaloniki airport is too small for such a flow of tourists. The registration hall was crowded! There is also this strange check-in system: in one place you weigh your luggage and get a boarding pass. And in a completely different place you hand over your luggage. In addition to these queues, there was a queue to the customs zone. A crisis is a crisis, and the airport needs to be expanded.
As you can see, our vacation went well. Of course there were shortcomings, but they did not spoil the overall picture. Wishes of our family to the operator: somehow solve the issue of delayed flights; in the hotel to have at least one of your employees with work experience (and let the interns help and gain knowledge); the question with a / p in Thessaloniki is not for you, but still; take care of your guides!
