Just chaos!!!! Holidays in Cyprus are hopelessly spoiled by the 1001 tour travel agent and the Biblio-Globus tour operator. Never buy tours from them if you want to save your nerves and money and relax. Extremely dirty offices. Follow legal precedents.
This is just a tiny part of the negative reviews on the Internet.
Manager Reutova Svetlana from 1001-tour (Taganka) sold me a tour to Paphos for the May holidays: April 29 - May 6, 2018. person, not for a flight), to an already paid and expensive tour for 6 days. I received a package of documents by mail, as usual, 2 days before departure (if I have a Schengen visa). I was surprised to see that for some reason we were flying to Larnaca, and not to Paphos airport. Transfer from Larnaca to Paphos one way is 3 hours, taking into account the transfer of tourists to hotels.
I called Reutova with a question about strange logistics, to which I received an answer - you didn’t buy a flight specification! Why should I pay for a dubious and expensive "service", I realized later. The travel agent and the tour operator are in cahoots, it's obvious! There were a lot of such tourists, including those with small children, on our flight (note that specifying the flight costs 90 euros for a family of 3 people! It’s just money thrown away and income out of thin air into the pocket of a travel agent), they simply stole a paid day from people rest - hotel, food. But they act wisely - they try to arrive on the same date, that is, to fit into the framework of the tour. Apparently they have some new conditions with the carrier Rossiya airline and pay for transportation not without exception, but for the flight, so they try to fill the plane to capacity. I passed through the cabin twice during the flight - not a single empty seat!
Apparently, this explains their specification, whoever paid, he simply overpaid the profit into the pocket of the travel agent and will fly away on his own flight, according to the ticket. And who did not throw away money, rightly believing that he bought a ticket in the tour package, he was greatly mistaken. This rotten story raises a reasonable suspicion of organized collusion, and at the legislative level. As is often the case with us, unfortunately.
I did not receive any warning about the postponement of the flight. On the day of departure, I went to the airport at night, according to the ticket sent. I didn’t appear on any lists at all, as well as the number of my ticket that does not exist. Thanks to the girls at check-in at Vnukovo, the three of them figured it out for a long time, called somewhere and found out that I was transferred to another flight (!!!!) which leaves in 12 hours! I have never seen this! No one even thought to warn.
As a result, I paid for a taxi to the airport and back home, bought an express ticket and now I will go back to the airport. Sleepless night, by the way, the transfer is tied to the ticket number, which is invalid. I wrote a letter to the manager Reutova in the morning, as you understand, I did not receive an answer. Wrote a message to the call center for her to call me back, to no avail. But they said they would call back. She didn't call back. The result - one full day of rest was stolen, my nerves were frayed, and I hadn't even left yet.! And in general it is not clear whether it is worth flying at all! Never use the services (you can even call it that) the travel agent 1001 tour and the Bilio-Globus tour operator! I used to often buy books in the Biblio-Globus store, but I will never buy again
The selected hotel also did not match either its stars or the declared services.
The manager persistently suggested a hotel of a higher class, but she was not led well, since neither 5 stars nor a lower hotel class guarantees check-in on time and advertised services (as can be seen from the reviews). Refrigerator, kettle with cups was not - it's all for a fee. The air conditioning worked in a strange way, with a fixed operating time and was not rebuilt. Apparently, they were specially turned off centrally so that people would not freeze in the rooms and waste electricity, which is very expensive in Cyprus - not to introduce the hotelier into unnecessary expenses. Regarding water - as many as 2 stickers in the bathroom so that people turn off the taps, since water is also expensive. In general, it would be better not to settle at all, only to pay! ?
Dear future tourists!
Since the constitutional guarantor cannot, and quite possibly is not interested in protecting citizens from unscrupulous companies in the tourism market, there is only one piece of advice - carefully read reviews about travel companies before buying tickets. About Biblio-Globus and the 1001-tour, positive reviews are written only on orders, but even this drop can block that sea of negativity about them on the Internet.
And for lovers of Cyprus, there is one good news - this year the Mouzenidis-Travel company entered Cyprus, which has many offices in Russia and other countries. An excellent company with impeccable service, competent guides (among whom there are people with academic degrees), comfortable buses with wifi, and most importantly, which does not leave its tourists in emergency situations (there was an opportunity to verify this). And this is not advertising, but the truth, as well as the fact that the Biblio-Globus is living its last days.
Do not let them deceive you and spoil your rest and nerves.
