I went to Cuba.
Want to be honest? If you speak directly, without any cynical veil, mail will be blocked from the number of expressions completely unknown to you.
1. This hotel = boarding house for Cubans, and not a suitable place for tourists, I put it mildly. Very soft. 30-40 Cubans live in it and a very negative attitude towards foreigners (besides, I was the only tourist from all over the world there for 3 days !!!).
2. Pool. Yes, there is a swimming pool, 1.2 m deep. But the water has not been poured into it for the last 4 years .........!!!!!!!.
3. Ocean. Yes, 500 m to the ocean. But they DO NOT BATH there! There is a strip of beach sand 30-50 meters long, strewn with glass fragments, stones, and there is no beach there.
4. River. Yes, there is a river, 1 km walk from the place of residence. But there is a closed area (under the bridge) and swimming is prohibited!!
5. Shower. Yes, there is a shower and a bathroom, but water is by the clock - 3 times a day! I went to the toilet, but there is NO water!
6. There is not a single Russian-understanding Cuban for the next 30 km!!!
7. Paid breakfast.
Yes, they give the menu in Spanish-English, there is not even a photocopy of the translation in Russian. The menu is one for all days (printed 3 years ago). So there is a choice - if you want to eat scrambled eggs, but if you want, don't eat. Do you want coffee, but do not want cocoa no. That's the whole choice and such breakfasts for 11 days.
8. You can get to the beach, in Varadero - 30 km. By taxi 20-30 EURO! Or wait for a bus without a number and vote for an hour, two, three. Back the same way.
9. Housekeeping - once every 2 days they make the bed and wipe the floor near the entrance of the room. Bed linen is changed every 5 days. At night, the rooms are full of midges (they rise through ventilation, its elimination is not provided). If you turn on the air conditioner, the neighbors will not be able to sleep - it works like a tractor.
10. Single room. 2 beds is not a single. As the guide said - well, you live alone. In the gym, then a bed would be put up and 50 beds, and there would also be one. Yes, I generally ONE lived in a hotel !!! This does not mean that the room is single.
The guide appeared almost 2 days later (no one else saw him), offered a price list with excursions, shrugged - you ordered the cheapest hotel and what do you want? I think some minimum of excursions should be included in the price of the ticket? And I could call a taxi and go according to its price list, it would be at least 30% cheaper!
So imagine what a shock people experience when they come to a place where there is nothing promised, there are no Russian speakers to ask something, and for two days they do not figure out how to survive. Yes, survive.
I don't know if you are aware of this or not. But the guide knows and understands everything. It's vile to lie and deceive people, cashing in on their gullibility to the travel agency and knowing what to present, they can't do anything!
How mean and low. We were 7 people from Russia there. There are no happy holidays.
I will write my impressions about the service of the travel agency to all possible sources, and it doesn’t matter to me who is responsible for the operator or travel agency, in any case, this is still available.
