Tour from 01/28/2014 to 02/12/2014 "Mystical Mexico" was bought in Moscow from the company "Jazz Tour". The tour included an excursion program for 11 days and a rest in Cancun for 3 days. Host Prime Travel.
According to the excursion program: the first 4 days of the tour by a small group in a minibus with a guide Angelina Gaponova - wonderfully organized, interesting, the work of the guide is beyond praise.
The remaining 7 days of excursions in a large bus with a group of 33 people, guide Elena - acceptable, but very different from the first part. The guide tried, but the speech is inconsistent, it is very difficult to perceive. At the end of the tour, Elena said that she could not accompany tourists to the hotel, other girls would replace her.
Booked and paid in advance (three months) hotel for a holiday in Cancun "Oasis Cancun" at the end of the excursion part, we were replaced by "Barcelo Costa Cancun".
We were informed about the change only in the evening after the end of the excursion tour, the Prime Travel guide did not know the reasons for the change, because. Jazz Tour did not book through Prime Travel. Jazz tour booked the hotel through the Terramar company, which is located in Spain, as we learned already upon arrival in Moscow.
We found out at the reception of the Oasis Cancun Hotel (during the check-in of other tourists from our group) that the reservation for our names was canceled by the travel company on the eve of our arrival and, according to the hotel manager, we could check in if the travel agency confirmed the payment , free rooms in the hotel were.
Since it was late Saturday night in Moscow by this time, we could not contact the Jazz tour.
Accommodation of tourists in hotels by Prime Travel took as much as 5 hours!!! (from the first tourists who left the hotel on the Riviera Maya to us, the last ones, in Cancun).
We chose the hotel "Oasis Cancun" consciously, because we wanted to stay on a long spit, but we were given places in a hotel on a short spit. We could not enjoy the beauty of the Caribbean Sea, like on a long spit, on the beach of the Barcelo Costa Cancun Hotel. I had to travel from our hotel to the beach of a long braid by bus, use the city beach.
The cost of living in the hotel "Barcelo Costa Cancun" per day in a dbl room was 176 USD on the dates of our stay. The same price per night in a dbl room in "Oasis Cancun" is 226 USD. These figures were given to us by the managers at the hotel reception. That is, they saved us 50 usd per day, and for 4 nights it turns out 200 usd!
Immediately after returning from the trip, on February 13, I called the Jazz Tour and the manager Arina Mishaeva promised me to look into the situation. I repeated my question many times by phone and in writing to the address of Arina Mishaeva and Irina Tabakova (the manager who arranged the tour).
After a month of waiting, which was required to clarify the relationship between the Jazz Tour and the Spanish-Mexican partners, they sent me an answer: that the hotel had an overbooking and that we were moved to a more expensive one!!! the hotel and we don't owe us anything, we should be happy with the service!
The conclusion I can draw is that Jazz Tour employees lie, play for time and scam tourists.
