Tour Finland - Sweden 3 days (Turku line), departure 07/11/2014, guide Ekaterina Rubtsova, tour operator "West Travel".
The Internet is replete with reviews about this tour and this guide. The reviews contain travel dates from November 2013, but the essence is the same, nothing has changed this year. Disgusting organization of the tour, a guide completely uninterested in tourists, an old bus without air conditioning with broken seats instead of the promised comfortable bus with all possible amenities. Considering that the way to Finland is not so close and the temperature outside the window is more than 30 degrees, it can be imagined that there is no longer any strength for sightseeing after such a trip. During the tour, the guide never apologized for the inconvenience, moreover, she was constantly rude and “put in place” all the tourists. It is not clear why even work in this position, if there is such a clear dissatisfaction with tourists.
In Helsinki, the bus went to meet tourists from the ferry, new passengers appeared on the bus.
All excursions, which are declared in the tour program, were significantly reduced in time, the guide was not heard during walking tours. When the tourists were indignant, the guide said that you just need to “catch up with her” and be closer. All major travel agencies have long had special devices for conducting excursions, why it is not here is not clear.
On the way back, the guide changed the tour program: she offered not to stop in Helsinki in order to avoid the queue at the border, in return she offered to stop by another city and a fish store. There is practically no right to choose: if the majority of tourists support changing the tour program, a smaller part of the choice remains. Then the guide asked everyone to sign for the change in the program.
At some point, we even suggested that perhaps there had been an unforeseen replacement of the bus with such an unusable one, but no, a week after the tour on the highway from Vyborg, we again met the same bus on Sunday with a sign “Guide Rubtsova Ekaterina”, which had already at about 7 pm he safely returns to St. Petersburg (instead of the 11:50 pm declared in the program).
The question arises why in such a large company no one is interested in the opinion of tourists, polls are not conducted, questionnaires are not distributed. We can conclude that this will always continue, that the company is absolutely not interested in the quality of service. Very scared to use this company again.
